I'm sorry to break it to you dude, but if you're losing, then you're not the better player. In a tournament environment, skill is based on your ability to do well in tournament, and I'd say that being able to deal with one of the most popular characters in this game, is pretty damn important if you wanna be good at this game. This matchup is really not that bad. Just take it slow, and don't be stupid. "Approaching" is a term, that is used too often and is so vague. All your aerials are safe on shield and CC, you just gotta space it well. Stomping and kneeing is good in this matchup, but don't be spamming them. What you should be doing mostly in this matchup is positioning yourself outside boost grab and dash attack range, while staying in a range that makes it unsafe for her to charge needles. Then occasionally move in and out of those ranges to bait her into doing something. Lots of tomahawks and patience. Retreating stomp is good to punish her if she overshoots with dash attack or grab. Overshooting with knees and stomps can be quite good. Use platforms to your advantage. They're great at getting you out of corner pressure. Make sure you land your aerials late, and punish the f to the ucks out of her, whenever you get a grab.
It's quite possible to dthrow, react to DI with either regrab or dash-wavedash into tech chase. Reacting to her tech rolls with stomps is also not that tricky. Uthrow after 37%(according to wizzy) will always allow you to uair her, you just gotta be fast. I think Gahtzu said 33%, but tbh you could win this matchup without uthrow. Tech chasing is op as fuarrrk.
