I believe that's a foxtrot and really nothing else. Dash forward a single length it stops then you can fsmash.

That's what I was thinking at first, but there's a pause inbetween everything you do when you foxtrot, hence the reason why people usually shield drop or pivot into whatever.

He goes into the Fsmash way too fast for it to be just "dash, stop, fsmash". Maybe it's just really good timing?

This would be really cool if you did like, retreating dash into spaced Fsmash out of a laser cancel or shield drop.

Or you stutter step out of the foxtrot. I've been using it for months lol
And it is faster than waiting for the foxtrot to end, so you can have 2 ways of doing it and 2 timings depending on what you intend to do

*goes back to searching what is falco's worst stage*

after the initial dash there is a time where you can do anything from pivot to another dash,i guess maybe it has to do with what you are saying.

You can foxtrot > Dash + at the same time FSmash (easier with C-stick). The initial dash animation can be cancelled with the FSmash (a lot of things actually, but only FSmash is really easy)

Yessssssss. Falco's Bair knows no limit to its pwnage.

Also, Bombsoldier should stick to Melee, lol.
As long as we're talking about it, a lot of moves cancel the glide attack. I noticed in DEHF's video I think, he uses Nair to cancel glide attack which is brilliant because Nair has multiple hits which means a.) there's greater leeway as to when you time the aerial b.) the other hits will punish after canceling.

i thought sars would include i dont use very many of those (lasers). maybe 5 a game.

as for the reflector. what will probably happen is this

MK glides at me
sh reflector
reflector barely comes out
*big shine*
i get hit w/ a glide attack.

Sars did mention that. He also said you mind game people to run into fully charged Fsmashes. I was mentioning it to the general public.

But yeah, reflector's range > glide attack range, so you don't even need to time it. Just space it and whip it out before he's even close enough to glide attack.

No, they won't, because BOTH aerials cancel. However, if you do it right above the ground (where most MKs frequently glide attack) then it isn't that hard to follow up with a quick jab or something, because you'll already be facing him.

ANyone ever try dash attack > turn > grab? At really low percents though? I see people dash attack > dsmash and that seems to work occasionally.

Hmmm. I could've sworn I saw it cancel out the glide attack and then continue, but I'll take your word for it. Either way, I think it's still a really good option against the glide attack.

After rewatching the videos of M2K vs whoever, I noticed what was said in another thread about punishing phantasm with glide attack and it's crazy. He like . . . foresees the phantasm and where it's going to land . . . .

Some people also confuse skill with luck, but then they see M2K and they no longer make that mistake xD

Pretty much. After learning to fight Falco with other characters though, I've noticed that everyone is somewhat predictable when it comes to Phantasm, regardless of how hard we try not to be.
