my friend who just registered on SWF, xSoulx, has the drive and the ambition to get better at brawl. He's a bit of a lurker, and lacks the recording equipment and asked me to do him a favor and record a few of our matches for critiquing.
I have 3 right now, but youtube's new uploader sucks *** and gives me problem, so were looking at a few more on the way (6-8)

He plays D3 and G&W. These videos are D3 vs Lucario:

Pretty good. I saw a little too much fast fall dair in the first video. Obviously just continuing the dthrow chain against the wall would have been better than fthrow (that wall is pretty high). As you can probably see from my post count, I'm a bit of a lurker too and I'd like to post some of my matches. Do you have a link to where I can find more info about the recording equipment?

I had a huge wall of conversation here, however it seems to have deleted itself, so I will just give WSB a list.

  • He seems very aggressive in the match i'm watching, very light use of his shield or any defensive options.
  • Very aggressive for his grab, instead of pressuring you into his grab to make it less risky for him, he instead just pushes forward, taking meaningless damage.
  • He needs to learn what's good about his counter picks, what are good stages for dedede, especially delfino. If he learns delfino early, i'm sure he will be able to use this as a great counterpick
  • Work on teaching him not to immediately use options in the air, if he's getting juggled or hit in the air, doing a quick move isn't always the best option.
  • He needs to use b-air and f-tilt for good spacing, mixing this up with his grab will be good for helping his d3 get the basics down.
  • Like I said, he needs to learn where d3 works best on what stages and why, this allows him to make good decisions.
  • He shouldn't be f-smashing unless it's a scenario like you're on the ground about to tech, or he's at low percent and you are at killing percent. The time he did it were a bit too risky.

You should tell him to play my Peach
