The darkness thing is a flavor. Lighting it has no point, you can light your *** on fire for all I care.

Dark wooden unclean spooky area, paintings for a heart, bug, cat, and a painting. LOTS of poetry.

Does not ring a bell to anything I know, the closest it rings for me is Ravenholm which makes no sense here.

You see four paintings on the front wall. The keyboards under each it have keys that are small. You walk up to the paintings to get a closer look, they look pretty scary so you are quite shook. One is of a heart, the other a bug, the third a cat whose looking quite smug. The last is a painting of a painting. "another complicated puzzle" you think, "I hope there's only a few remaining..."[/B]

This entire paragraph is done in rhyme. I'm sure most of you realized this already but I'm just putting it out there.

That's the rhyme pattern. My best guess is that whatever we need to type into the keyboards probably has to rhyme with whatever is depicted. I'm not sure however how we are supposed to narrow down the many choices we have in that respect though. =/

If that was the case, then we hae a bajillion things for it to rhyme with. and we only have about a small amount of players =/

If rhyming is a clue, then it could be possible that it's from a story book of some kind. For example, the cat painting is probably the Cat in a Hat from 'Alice In Wonder Land.' I'm sure the other three are characters from other children books/cartoons that had rhyming. Maybe the heart is from 'A Grince who stole Christmas'.

After retrieving Yaya and KK from where they fell, you guys jump down the trap door into an unknown hell. You land on a couch to a place with wooden walls. You see a few keyboards and you think "well duty calls." Yaya and KK both awaken, feeling sore after the hits they've taken. One tries to move his arm to scratch an itch, but his limb won't budge... "son of a *****."[Yaya and KK may post in the thread, but are not allowed to do actions due to being injured.]

I think the whole thing might be themed from Alice in Wonderland.

Heart: The Queen of Hearts, The King of Hearts, and the Knave of Hearts are all characters. The Queen of hearts is the most important one I think.

Bug: The Caterpillar, also a major character.

Cat: The Chesire Cat of course.

Painting: We're painting the roses red! We're painting the roses red! There may be a more important painting in the story though, I'm not really familiar with it.

It may also include stuff from Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There, the sequel to Alice in Wonderland. The sequel is more chess-themed and we did just come out of a chess room. It also has a bug in it (The Gnat) but I can't think of matches for the other paintings yet.

We can try the name of the characters first, then maybe the name of the story next if that fails. the name of the characters seems more likely then my idea, so I want to try that out first.

I type in 'Cheshire' under the cat picture.

Skyler does so. The entire room begins to flash dark red. You hear a scream. You all look to skyler, you see him in great agony with blood gushing from his shoulder. He seems to have gotten bit. He passes out. [Skyler can no longer post until further notice]. The painting of the screen begins to flash. For a few short seconds you see the image of a black cat being hung from a noose. You aren't sure but it looks like the cat has gotten it's eye gouged out. The painting than returns to normal.
