I think you're missing the point when you keep saying people will be "more intelligent".

Implants along the lines of what Alt was talking about were more about increasing sheer computational prowess, not overall intelligence. You can have a supercomputer for a brain, but if you have no experiences or information to draw on, you're about as useful in real life as a doorstop.

Mathematics and processing/computing would be a heck of a lot easier for people with implants. I'm also talking memory storage. If the technology included memory storage, forgetting stuff would be harder Reaction time would also be quicker. I'm not talking about increasing your level of wiseness. I guess it depends on the type of implant, but I'm just throwing ideas out there.
