The perpetual trash fire known as Planet Earth(tm)
Just as the title says. You can either remake the game from the ground up, or you can do a remaster with added bells and whistles. Here's an example I came up with:

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze Returns

An HD remaster of Donkey Kong Country Returns and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze

New features
  • The ability to play as Dixie and Cranky in Returns, as well as use the Kong Pow techniques
  • New Funky Mode™ where you can play as Funky Kong in both games, along with the option for co-op with both DK and Funky
  • Redone music for Returns

Parasite Eve: Evil Reborn (working title)
This is a HD remake based upon the Square-Enix's (formerly known as SquareSoft) Parasite Eve 1 & 2 which were both released for the Playstation.
  • High definition graphics with CGI cutscenes.
  • Obtain and unlock new weapons and costumes for Aya Brea.
  • Newly done and reworked gameplay.
  • Newly redone music for both games.
Eternal Champions: Rise of the Dark Champion
The Eternals Champions was a fighting game developed by SEGA back during the 90s and this would be based upon a remake of the its sequel, Challenge from the Darkside.
  • Newly reworked graphics.
  • Reworked gameplay and final boss.
  • CGI cutscenes.

Star Fox: Assault Remasted
It a HD remaster of Star Fox: Assault on the Gamecube
Only changes are the same as Metroid Prime Remastered as in new visuals, updated control schemes (including an option for dual-stick controls like in other First and Third-person shooters) and a new art gallery. Also the bonus games from the original Gamecube release are cut besides the NES ports of Xevious and Battle City are on Namco Museum Archives (Vol 1 for Xevious and Vol 2 for Battle City), Star Luster is still Japan only, being exclusive to the Namcot Collection.
