Simple rules. Choose any characters size, weight, floatyness, and you can choose any move from any moveset to accompy this character. Kirby utilt with falcon uair, pika up b and samus charge? The imagination is up to you!

i swear this thread as been made before lol

people just made a character with the 'best' move, and didn't really think about how those moves would interact/combo with each other

though thinking about a captain falcon that can rest his opponents is always fun

Pretty sure you're right.

Another part about this, besides the movesets, is the character makeup. A kirby body with Samus's bair isn't nearly as effective because of chode feet. So, besides moves, what's the best Frankenstein character? Generally speaking, I'd go with Kirby body and Link swords to make disjointed hitboxes, but that's just me.

i think the idea is that the hitboxes are not affect by the character size. so samus bair is just as big, while the characters hurtbox is still small

IMO the following are worse:
- Yoshi's grab
- Kirby's throws
- Samus' utilt
- Jiggly's dtilt
- Fox's dair (especially if combined with Luigi's jump)
- Samus' s dsmash

And maybe more.

Also Vale, Fox grab? Are you serious?

Fox with Pika upb, ness dair, get rid of the flutter kick and make jab spam easier, kirby nair, and whoever has the best ftilts.

a combination of DKs downb and luigi upb with captain falcons taunt could be pretty nasty.

Yoshi with mario's B, Kirby's bair, pika's dair, pika's upB, fox's up air, kirby's nair, kirby's dtilt, kirby's fsmash, jigglypuff's dsmash, pikachu's grab/throws.

It's the yoshi you all know except literally any attack of his will guarantee a shield break. He not only has combos on every character, but a million more scenarios where all of his combos will lead to death. To facilitate landing these combos, yoshi now has the combined power of kirby, pikachu, and mario's neutral game to form an impenetrable wall of death. Yoshi's double jump with pikachu's up B make yoshi virtually un-edgeguardable. He also has so many more ways to edgeguard the rest of the cast that they're left second guessing themselves on which way to recover to avoid any potential edgeguard.

Well for one I wasn't really being serious, just messing with fatbert.

Secondly, it is not how it works. I said make a moveset, and any tilt thats not utilt that has kirbys utilt hitbox is not a move in the games moveset, does not exist. You have to choose any characters ftilt for ftilt, not utilt for ftilt. But I'm not taking this seriously, just wanted to point that out.

I would change the dash attack to mario's and my taunt would obviously be falcon's.

Now I have time to explain myself.
This character would be able to:

Easy shield break/combo with Kirby Dair and utilt.
Kirby's dair spike
Yoshi DJC
Yoshi parry/shield covers whole body
Zone with Fox Lasers
Strong throws
If lose yoshi jumps recover with Pika up-B
Combo with falcon u-air
Tons of set ups to jigg's rest (fox jab, yoshi ftilt)
Fastest dash/run speed

The only way to balance this beast would be if the character automatically died at 30% or something like that.

i don't think falcon's uair would be all that great to combo with using yoshi's jump. Plus falcon uair loses a lot of finishing ability without falcon's up-b to touch off the combo.

to anyone who knows, how difficult would it be to make this actually happen? Is a simple moveswap, in terms of only hitboxes and not animations, really that difficult?

Lot of people sleeping on Yoshi's dash attack IMO

Kirby sized Fox with Pika upB is a pretty good start. Let's give him Kirby's utilt and Pika's uair as his fair. Throw in Yoshi's double jump (super armor + DJC), Yoshi's shield (duh), and Yoshi's dash attack / ftilt for extra combo potential. While we're at it: Yoshi's fair as his dair. DK's grab, Falcon fthrow DK bthrow. Samus floatiness maybe so that he's tough to combo (assuming this doesn't mess up his feel in attacking/comboing). Kirby nair because why not.

and of course ...

Falcon's 100% ledge get up attack

That's not how I read the OP, but if not then can keep Fox's fair and change dair to like Falcon's or Kirby's.

While I'm at it let's give Kirby's third fourth fifth jumps as well.

Depends. If you mean simply patching a rom for emulator, the only challenge is compression (which still hasn't been worked out 100% yet) and making sure the data all fits. Changing hitbox properties is easy, but adding additional data takes work.
