Countering CCing

Ok I have a friend who mains Samus, and is fairly new to the game. Now he tends to constantly have his control stick down. Basically, I wanted to know if there was anything else to punish CCing besides the dsmash.

No, it's not just a ruse -- Mathos is right. Lasers are the safest and gayest way to counter CCing... and Samus in general.

SHL are almost as applicable as the knee is in Falcons strategy. Any situation where you have to counter some gay technique, SHL typically works.

NOOOOOOO. against ppl who crouch cancel, be really gay and do repeated dairs. no shine in between, just dairs. it works at slightly higher %. basically they'll CC each dair and they'll take enough lag for you to do another dair and repeat!

You could always just slap the controller out of their hand. That is my perferred method.

Instead of dmash, dtilt is effective. They'll either go up or more probable face down. Then they'll be on the ground. You can either shield at that point and wait for shield grab, and follow their roll into pillars.
