i've had it with mario not having any popularity around here!
i don't care if i have to make up techs i'm gonna make this section active or die trying!
(this may be a little extreme but who's with me let's give mario the rep he deserved and earned)

It is sad how under appreciated he is in this game. He's much better this time around.

But honestly, I don't mind too much. I don't like using a character thats too popular. Luckily for me, I adore Mario.

More posts on this board would be nice, though.

Have you ever seen the Mario Melee section?

The only time I have ever seen a hint of activity there was for the Int. Mario Combo video and even then it wasn't that impressive

Don't worry about it...people will start posting here when something big happens

What we need is for more Marios to start winning tournaments (Even BO X7 got close to winning the Boonfest but still lost on the final round).

i'm still determined to win tournaments with Mario all the way! However, when fighting with Mr Game & Watch and Snake, it's even more difficult to win.

It is a shame that people don't give Mario the respect he deserves. Mario is the most influential character out of the whole Brawl cast because he made such an impact on the video game industry.

I main Mario to death because I absolutely adore him. The first game that he inspired me was Super Mario 64 (greatest game of all time) and I was hooked on him since.

Hopefully something soon will be discovered so people will see his true colors in Brawl and won't think little of him. Right now I have school but when it ends, you bet I will spend a lot of hours trying to find ways to make him better.

Three cheers for the Legendary Man in Red!!!

I only play him because my first video game I played was Super Mario RPG! It's one of my favorite game of all. which is why I adore Mario.

See, Mario users actually use him because he is Mario, not his playstyle. It doesn't hurt that he's good. In a fighter you should use who you are best with, but in Smash, your childhood hero should be your main in my eyes.

I'm entering tournaments to try and get through to people.

And yes, Monk has a point. It's not as bad as melee. P:

It doesn't matter because a small community is a tight community when you meet someone and ask what do you main and they answer with Marth or snake or even Falco/Fox/Wolf xD you think to yourself ok cool w/e.

But if someone responds with i play Mario you instantly go back and fourth about if he/she uses fludd uses Cape glide how they approach and how they attack.

Same goes for all other people that main their characters

WE ALL SHARE A UNIQUE LOVING BOND! I LOVE YOU GUYS!

Ok...I like you too...but I'm not even tangible at this point, let alone likeable...
Are you calling me fat? /cry
NO! Dont TOUCH ME..

Ok...Kidding aside just saying like sports fans have favorite teams, we have our characters so whats the big deal if we are a small "franchise team"

We go out compete and we win.

I suppose it's similar but I'm not on good terms with sports where I live it's "normal" to be a sports nut and play violent "realistic" games but once you say I like mario and play smash bros you're an outcast so i hold a grudge this has nothing to do with anything but i typed it on wii and i'm not letting it go to waste

Don't worry smashbro29, you're not alone, I completely support Mario and I'll do my best to make Mario the best that he can be...

*We’ve got two ATs so far: Capedashing and Cape Gliding*

I prefer Luigi, ever since the original =]

I liek Mario i used to play him in melee thebn gave up

I stuck with PIka and Luigi in all games tied for my mains.

Luigi has a certain pee-your-pants-from-looking-at-a-turtle charm to him, but Mario's the fearless brother, constantly supporting him. Luigi might have some untapped, mysterious powers within him, but with Mario, what you see is what you get: a short Italian superman.

I choose my mains according to both of these categories combined. I could never play with chars I don´t like, no matter how good I´m with them. It just doesn´t feel good when you don´t have passion for your character.

Mario boards aren´t nearly as quiet as they could be. Some more activity would be nice, but I prefer that few people have actual conversation over the possibility that lots of guys talk bunch of nonsence and mock down each other.

lol, I love Luigi he is the underdog like Vegeta to goku, I also Like Vegeta the best. Mario is cool though, but I just like Luigi and Pika more.

But all you Mario players, don't give up on him.

Personally I like the community like this....it's much easier to keep in check...everyone knows who's who... if something is found out every knows about it quickly... and if someone has a question it usually gets answered quickly and in good detail

You might be able to play my friend Krunk (He plays Snake and Ganondorf; he's not very good with Ganondorf but he's ok with Snake) or Ace (He plays with Mario and Snake; he's not great but he's better than Krunk) sometime but I'm usually busy.

*Sorry BO X7, didn't know, but good job!*

Capedashing is canceling your running animation (Not the initial dash) with the cape which results in a small slide that covers about the same distance as wavelanding. Also, when capedashing is done off a ledge it does an auto Cape Glide with whatever momentum is left over.

*The easiest way to the timing down for capedashing is just hold forward and press B near the end of your initial dash (Again, the slide is small but it's enough to get a few surprise capes and it does an auto Cape Glide)*
