a couple months ago, i had an idea for a (PC or) Online only Wii(or successor to Wii, WiiHD anyone?) Pokemon MMORPG game, my mind was thinking of the art style and i came up with: Wind Waker cel-shading and Okami/SSFIV, mixed with how the first season of Chaotic looked like. in my mind it looked vivid and beautiful (only a few elements were used from the above btw) just imagining the environment and a pokemon shows up from the grass and you see other players in the same field, one guy just captured a Furret. my idea is to have it as much like how Star Wars: the Old Republic turns out and as much like the pokemon anime as possible.
when i saw The Legend of Zelda: Weyward sword, i was thinking that this is really close to my vision! how cool! its not my vision though.

With Pokemon Black and White, we get a whole new region to explore, if this is the last region in the pokemon world, then the world is complete! it is obviously not the last region to explore, Game FREAK isn't stupid to lose this cash cow on the basis of finally limiting the ends of the entire world.
If there is ever a final region, my wish is for the entire world be traversable, but that it takes as long as it should if it were really a world of the same mass as ours.

i believe that there isn't a person out there who can imagine what i am viewing in my mind. Route 13 is rather minuscule in the portable handheld system, whereas in my mind it is really wide and expansive, relative to the rest of the world...

i also want universal interaction, this will never be considering that... say you're flying on your Flygon, you just commanded it to fire a Hyper Beam at Sylph Co. (if you raised it right, it should refuse, if it is rather dark in attitude because, well you raised it that way, then it should fire at innocent bystanders) anyways, i was thinking that the building actually gets destroyed, i want it as real as possible and as anime as possible. some time should pass until Sylph Co. gets repaired... give it a day, those Machoke work really hard!

of course, my vision will never be. if i become the creative director of game FREAK, nintendo wouldn't allow it anyways, they don't want a game like Pokemon to have a T rating for Awesome pokemon interaction.

i had more to say but i have a lowered attention span and severe consecutive memory loss (my own given diagnosis)

one more thing...sooo, i herd u liek mudkipz!

I still can't believe Nintendo hasn't done this. MMORPG's are cash cows.

And if they make new games and add new regions, you can just release updates for the MMO.

Though it is an interesting idea the concept is far to complex. It would seem more like world of warcraft only everyone is a hunter and only the pet does the fighting. The idea of making in much more universal is a great idea that should be considered as an upgrade for something of a console game that allows you to connect to others that lets you go on adventures and making fight sequences much more difficult and more fast paced.

Seems like a plausible idea. Especially since both MMOs and Pokemon already share something in common- no storyline.

It's over a year old, but it's really the only official word ever on a Pokemon MMO.

The answer is no =/
wow! ive never seen that... thank you for posting that here. (is it possible to wait until he dies? *thinks devilishly* naw, thatll kill the hearts of the fans)

that really is an excellent point though, what he said about interaction, my only problem with interaction is that during the gbc and gba days, i only ever traded with my brother, my cousin, and myself through gba--stadium or coliseum.

@arch knight yeah, i am always complicating things that could be simpler. when i try to make line art, for some strange reason, i just start shading!! the computer was supposed to do that! on that note, i've never been able to make true line art because i shade things, almost subconsciously.

it really is plausable, but it isn't what pokemon was supposed to be. oh and i don't like the idea of just releasing new updates, i want the entire world to be traversable, to be able to cycle the entire globe on the back of your cloned Rayquaza. i had an idea to solve the problem of multiple legendaries but i lost it.

my one favorite thing in the world is flying, i almost cried when i saw kid icarus uprising. (i didnt cried though, i could have. this is why i want the world cycleable and if the world is limited by regions not found yet, then you cant really fly over it now can you.)
