I thought that the idea was more that there is no truly correct choice?Hoshido is obviously the morally correct choice here, but Nohr is the super edgey one.
One of the biggest criticisms I've heard of Nohr's plot is that it makes you feel bad for choosing that side. I mean, I guess both sides are meant to make you feel bad because of the whole fighting your family thing, but Nohr is apparently bad for reasons other than that or something.I thought that the idea was more that there is no truly correct choice?
I don't know a crapload about Fates since I've been trying to avoid spoilers and so don't look up much about it
Oh I wasn't referring to you, just the people I know that are buying conquest.I'm not actually picking Nohr because it's edgey, I'm just making fun of myself. I'm interested in Nohr because it's supposed to be more challenging than Hoshido.
I'll probably still play Hoshido eventually, but on Hard/Classic and with no grinding.
I actually like Takumi...I chose Nohr first because of the characters. The only one of the Hoshido siblings that I really like is Ryoma, and that d-bag Takumi is there, which is a con in and of itself. I do like Hana, Rinka, and some of the other minor characters though. Nohr, on the other hand, has Xander, Camilla, Leo, Nyx, Arthur, Effie, Charlotte, Belka, Gunther, and Pieri.
Plus, wyverns and dark magic, two of my favorite FE things, and a new class that combines the two.
Wait a minute...My sinbling rank
Leo>Hinoka>Marx=Ryouma>Elise=Sakura>void>chrom>takumi>anothervoid>Camila
But silas above all
Edit: for what i remember in conquest his act like a late game jagen, because he rejoin with fine stats but with bad growths
I... I did it! I preordered the Fates N3DS XL!
might as well go full modern hippie and start smokin' potI am picking Hoshido for three reasons
1.) They have the cooler abilities. Utility & Healing > full throttle offense imo
2.) I'm very close to being a modern day hippie...but without the pot lol
3.) Everyone loves the edge of nohr, but I don't care for it
I wish I had the patience to wait for Revelations and start with it. That's the path I agree with the most
I was there the day the stock ran out...I'm just glad I got my SE preordered before the in-store stock ran out
I still have to pay the remaining 55 dollars for it but yeah.I was there the day the stock ran out...
Same. I don't even know why I like him, I just do. (maybe because of the whole "Blame Takumi" thing.)I actually like Takumi...
What exactly is a Shinon? I'm kinda curious.Takumi's my favorite sibling from what I've seen, along with Leo. They just seem better than the others.
Especially Takumi. Nice to see that Corrin will have a Shinon, unlike Robin and Kris.
He's a character from Path of Radiance who absolutely hated Ike. When Ike became commander, he RAGE QUITED.What exactly is a Shinon? I'm kinda curious.
The original douchebag archer with a ponytail.I'm personally going to play Hoshido first because it's easier and I want to get used to the game first. and then I'm going to play through Nohr and download Revelations and play through it.

I want it so much, but I already have one...Hey if you missed the special edition 3DS at Gamestop it's available at Best Buy right now
...the so-called 'dating sim' crap is a very much overblown, optional and overall minor part of the game. Fates is just as much about turn-based strategy warfare as FE has ever been.I have been a die hard Fire Emblem fan ever since I was a kid. And I'm American. I played the games on Super Famicom all in Japanese and own the OVA on VHS.
For some reason, I ain't digging this new Fire Emblem. I'm on the fence. And it's not that the game is split in two. There's something about it...I just can't quite put my finger on it. People in this thread seem to have played it already or know a great deal about it. Besides the split, is there anything substantial it adds?
...besides dating sim mechanics?
its because there's now a self insert character who can S Rank EVERYONE...the so-called 'dating sim' crap is a very much overblown, optional and overall minor part of the game. Fates is just as much about turn-based strategy warfare as FE has ever been.
I wanna know, marriage has been a part of Fire Emblem for quite a while now, why is it a problem or negative point all of a sudden?
did you not play Awakening?its because there's now a self insert character who can S Rank EVERYONE
OMG, FE is like, totes ruined forever.its because there's now a self insert character who can S Rank EVERYONE
How come I can't S rank with myself?OMG, FE is like, totes ruined forever.
