It's should break after just three or four uses, shouldn't it? You could put decoys into the Hexing Rod's range, and then put them in defensive stance or in the back line to keep them out of harm. That way you can keep your tanks who are going to be taking all the blows safe.Conquest Ch.24 is going smoothly so far. The filers getting a 4+ increase in movement range took me by surpirse. But what i did in my third attempt (since my first two attempts ended in faliure since i charged into the enemy) was staying in the starting point and waiting for the fliers to come to me. I picked them off one by one. Now all the fliers minus Hinoka are gone (unless there's reinforcements). But now i have a roadblock: Azama. He has a Hexing Rod. Hexing Rods wouldn't be a problem if they didn't last the entire battle. So how do i deal with him? He can hex me from halfway across the map. And ferrying my units across the lake on the right would take top long. How do i deal with Azama?
To create a spoilers tag, just enclose your message by having the start of the message begin with
and then end the message with
. Below is an example of how you would use it.Just finished Chap. 19 on my rerun of Birthright, but still starting Revelations when it comes out because i played through both fully before. I would give my thoughts if I new how to do the spoiler tags.
Xander's defense is what makes him so incredible. Throughout both my normal and hardmode playthroughs of Conquest, his defense was easily on par with Beastrune Keaton all the way through, but with the added advantage of being able to attack at a range. Leo is a fairly good magic tank. He's not a dedicated mage killer like Kaze or anything, but unlike a ninja, he's actually able to take a few physical attacks when he needs to. Xander's defense and Leo's resistance caused them to be among the most important members of my army's front lines. In fact, I'd go so far as to say Xander was the single most important member of my army's front line. Thanks @Erueido
In the spoiler tags I am going to talk about my thoughts on both paths. They contain spoilers and the first one is conquest then birthright
Ok so I really liked Conquest, probably more than birthright. The chapters and gimmicks were really awesome, and the challenge just shows that IS has not lost its challenge. Chapter 10 was the one that stuck out the most to me, and to many others. I hated and loved that chapter at the same time. I hate it because of those flyers and that challenge so early on when your main walls are Effie(Who had bad defense growths for me at that point, she gained so much more after that chapter) and my minus defense Corrin. So yeah it was quite the problem and my Camilla was already cornered so I could not reach the flyers fast enough. I love it because of its challenge and its suspense the last few turns. Its all about that last line of defense at the 4 spots, and if they pass you it is it. Now I am going to talk about the characters, because dang there are some great ones in conquest. I really hate how Xander and Leo have low speed which really destroyed me in another chapter that I find HARDER than Chapter 10. I think they made that to balance out him and Ryoma, but I always feel like with Bushido and Rajinto, Ryoma is just better in every aspect besides maybe Defense. Leo just got weaker as time went on because of his lacking speed. However, Elise and Camillas were gods for me. Elise sure got overshadowed by Forrest when I got him, but she was still amazing. Camilla was just a monster in all aspects. She made every chapter SOOOOO much easier.
However, there were the undertakers as well before I get to the AMAZING characters. Sophie was only bad in this playthrough because of when I got her and just lost my dedication with her because Silas outclassed her. Another character was Laslow. I thought he would be sooo much better, but Selena was just a greater character with her husbando Xander. Another under achiever was Niles. Wait what??!!? I thought Niles would be an AWESOME character throughout the entire game, so I think I set my expectations too high. However, Niles was an awesome unit early, unlike his other retainer which I got terrible use out of the first time around. Odin, oh Odin. I expected soooooo much more from you, but again like Sophie, it was my dedication that ruined Odin. I used him in my female run and he was awesome, but I am basing these off of my first run and Odin was just as bad as Ricken was for me all the time. Still not as bad as Nyx I guess.
EDIT: I will talk more about it but I decided not to bombard people with a lot
As I will say in my great unit section, that goes to Effie. After Chapter 10, her defensive stats went up the roofXander's defense is what makes him so incredible. Yeah, but now imagine if Effie could use Siegfried, and you've got Xander. As I will say in my great unit section, that goes to Effie. After Chapter 10, her defensive stats went up the roof
I still used Xander and Leo all the time but Effie was betterYeah, but now imagine if Effie could use Siegfried, and you've got Xander.
@Taiko no Professor Layton needs to see this.Never change Jakob, never change.
Revelations is the true story so it's probably best to get Birthright out of the way.Would you recommend playing through Birthright before playing Revelations? I'm gunna be totally pooped after two play throughs of Conquest and I'm not to keen on playing Birthright just to try Revelations.
i did it that way and can fully confirm it should be played that way.Right from the start, I felt like the "correct" order of play would be Birthright > Conquest > Revelation, mainly based on Birthright being the easier of the three, and Revelation coming last for story reasons (being the "true" story or whatever). What I've been hearing from other players has only reinforced that, and that's what I plan on doing once they finally release here.
Preordered Overwatch months ago, so I'm good on that front. With Revelations, Pokken, and Overwatch pre-order my wallet can R.I.P.
There's something to be said for an extra Boots, Dragon Herbs and the two Dark Falcon scrolls! And I have now bought Revelations like everyone else here. (Although I won't play it until I have beaten Birthright and Conquest)
I just caught back up to the choice. Going to drive home and then start the real ****. So hype.Alas, I just finished downloading Revelation. The wait is over.
Damn, they really did a good job with Azura's design. <3Guys, it's happening
