I suppose that means less endlag on the kicks, making the pin-down harder to mash out, or maybe removing the dtupid-ass negative piority of the stab (right now both FSmash and SideB have a special property that makes them automatically loose a trade against any non-projectile hitbox like if they were a grab. It's also present on Bayonetta's Smash attacks, among other attacks).It reduced vulnerability when jumping after stabbing, and finally, reduced vulnerability for lance attacks, whatever that means.
