Controller configuration?

Hello - after going to a few tournies and watching many vids of many different people, and also realizing that default controls aren't always standard for all characters (I used attack with c-stick as snake for instance) I began to wonder if I could play MK more efficiently with different controls.

I am currently having difficulty with retreating short hop fast fall Fairs and also shuttle looping when stuffing an approaching marth, so any tips would be great too.

I find grabbing with Y to be easier than Z.

Just go into practice mode to work on your fast retreating aerials, your hand speed probably isn't that yet.

Use Tap Jump so you can shuttle loop from shield.

Whatever you're comfortable with. Though to not be annoying as **** at tourneys just use the standard.
