i swear to god if you don't enter doubles i'm not going

i really don't get it. most melee tournaments are going to be smallish. that means every person who doesn't enter doubles hurts the tournament that much more, because the difference between 4 teams and six teams and six teams and eight teams is HUGE. entering doubles should be mandatory imo, either that or just make it singles only
