This security update resolves a privately reported vulnerability in the Server service. The vulnerability could allow remote code execution if an affected system received a specially crafted RPC request. On Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Server 2003 systems, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability without authentication to run arbitrary code. It is possible that this vulnerability could be used in the crafting of a wormable exploit. Firewall best practices and standard default firewall configurations can help protect network resources from attacks that originate outside the enterprise perimeter.
This security update is rated Critical for all supported editions of Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, and rated Important for all supported editions of Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008. For more information, see the subsection, Affected and Non-Affected Software, in this section.
The security update addresses the vulnerability by correcting the way that the Server service handles RPC requests. For more information about the vulnerability, see the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) subsection for the specific vulnerability entry under the next section, Vulnerability Information.
Recommendation. Microsoft recommends that customers apply the update immediately.
This is real. I assume it was set up for April 1st to trick people that it was an April fools joke. Nothing major is going to happen to day, but I assume that its going to happen some time around the 5th.are you serious, i actually kind of believe this now because AltF4 always knows what hes talking about. I hope you aren't trying to fool us too. What do you mean it is set to phone home?
Update your system, and get anti-malware programs installed.so what exactly should we do?
pa nicso what exactly should we do?
The actual process of the worm are pretty neat. From what I read, it can get new orders whenever they want it do something new. Also, supposedly, it doesn't really manifest itself on the harmed computer. It's not a new virus that just came out today. It's an older one, that infected machines a couple months back.
They waited for April 1st to do anything with it, though. Think about it. It makes sense. Most people would just think it's an April Fool's joke if they saw something suspicious on their computer today.
And becuase of that, I'm not answering my phone today. Also, today was the day it changed its nature. It has the ability to start propagating/phoning home, but it may not start for a while. The people who did this were smart.
Thats no freaking laughing matter. Thats one of the symptoms of Infection.but for some reason the windows update isnt working.... lmao

Try to visit a website like norton or something,Okay alright.
I ran the malicious software remover. It didn't pick any thing up. Is that a good thing or is the virus that good at hiding? Also currently applying the XP SP2 patch for this thing.
