Ngl I had initially assumed I’d just be voting for your slot from the getgo, but the last time I didn’t stop a tunnel until I got what I wanted was for GLG and eventually Kary in Flavorless. Doing that again would only prove I didn’t learn my lesson, and that the possibility of me being wrong (hence me still being alive) was out there.

But if you want to strap yourself to Frozen when he gets yeeted, I’m all for that because it’ll make the game a heck of a lot easier toMorrow.

I knew that the only possbile scum teams could be Somi-UP and Frozen-Xivii. Somi and UP have been voting together as a block all game, and same with Frozen-Xivii. There was 100% no possible way that UP and Xivii were mates, and Frozen+Somi is just too unbelievable. Like, no way can two scum never vote together, both never push anything, and still get all the missyeets they want. So I ISOed for connections. I really love D3, it's so much easier to solve. These are my notes I took for myself, yo don't need to read them, conclusions below.

This is sort of moot since Somi is going to be the decider, not me. But just to put my thoughts out there anyway:
UP does hard town read Somi early D1 and ends up sticking with that the entire game. However, the justification is pretty reasonable, Somi hasn't been pushing the two missyeets and has been very open to moving in other directions. Town-UP should find this townie, so this is not partner indicative. But UP's early attempt to "trick" Somi about the role PMs and trap him seems like a very sincere attempt as getting a read on Somi and don't come from a perspective of a scummate. On the other side, Somi has been very skeptical of UPs hard town read on Somi and has put UP in 2nd scummiest for most of the game. Somi's scum teams including UP are plausible from Somi's perspective and show sincere attempts at game analysis.

On the other hand we have Xivii and Frozen.
Xivii naked votes Frozen in 237 then Frozen then they have a little back and forth, and Xivii backs off and returns to voting DP in 293. After this Frozen NEVER challenges Xivii for all the way through two misyeets. Every time he talks about Xivii maybe powerwolfing he includes me and often Chaco in the same thought, and always puts me as slightly more scummy then powerwolf xivii. At the end of D2 he agrees with DP that Xivii or I could be powerwolf, but at the start of D3 he doesn't say anything about that and is back on "Must be UP". The of course his final reads list conclusion of Xivii-UP is bizarrely inconsistent jump. At least he should have been equally suspicious of me as Xivii's slot.

And Xivii is even worse. He hard town reads Frozen D1 for "being confident and sincere in his UP push". Then NEVER reconsiders. And he never questions other people's assumption that Frozen is town either. In midnight Xivii bounced around and questioned every read he had. By the end of D2 when DP flipped town, Xivii should have been reconsidering everyone including Frozen, but he never even seriously considers it. And then by some magic coincidence Ran has the same hard town read of Frozen.

The Xivii-Frozen scumteam is blatant.

Yep. If UP is scum I'm scum. Agreed. If Somi decides to vote for UP it's game over. From Somi's perspective there are only two possibilities. Me+UP or You+Frozen. There's nothing left to prove.

You guys decided to have Frozen include you on his scum team because you thought UP would vote for you and that would give Frozen wiggle room toMorrow. But UP thwarted that by voting Frozen, and now you can't bus. So just put your vote down on UP and wait here for Somi to decide the fate of the universe.

On a total side note, I don't understand this boards love of referring to post numbers instead of giving real context. Why not just ask if I think votes can be rescinded in LYLO. Or even just quote the one line post?

Anyway, I think little of it. Strategically, I think people shouldn't ever unvote in LYLO, so the actual rules on the matter are irrelevant. Although I do think I like that as a rule for future games because it prevents angley "timing shenanigans" where people do a test vote when they think so and so is not online then unvote.

If you look at the way people voted together the only plausible teams are the two I went in depth on. You can see the battle lines being drawn at the end of D2 start of D3. Those two groups have been voting together all game. And Xivii and Frozen were both preparing to make cases against UP-Somi while UP and Somi both had top choice of Frozen-Xivii. Like there is just no way that one of those wasn't the scum team.

GGs all, ty somi for showing up for the crucial alpha, this game was falling apart for us fast

thankfully we somehow managed to maintain subtle distance all game and no one really caught on. So many pairings with me in it but very few people were chewing on frozen/somi seriously

Ran replacing into lylo is not at all an enviable position so I feel for you man, gotta say you made a hell of an effort though

no idea how I managed to just attack the two slots railing against me the hardest and no one really saw the pattern, but hey we take those
