What are they? I have been playing him since I was very young, and then I only drill kicked. This kinda evolved into drill kick - u-tilt combos. This was all I did forever, occasionally d-tilt to fair and stuff..

Then yesterday I connected three or four fairs into an u-smash at Hyrule, and I was happy with myself =P.

So, what are some fox combos that are effective and work on flat ground?

Hmm

Could you give me some starter combos? It feels like all my battles are uphill b.c that falcon has to hit me once and I have to get 4 or 5 combos on him

landing fair->utilt

I know I can usually chain something that way, dunno if it works well [remember to Z-Cancel. :p].

And at low percents [depending on opponent falling speed+weight], but not too low, utilt->Fmash works.

Dunno much else. :p Sometimes a random jab when they are slightly floating sends them up for a usmash [or something else], but meh, I dunno, other than jab helps with comboing.

don't do a landing fair to utilt, do it to dtilt

if you're playing on hyrule, uair chains near the platforms then late hitting bairs to drills to jab to shine jabs to usmashes work wonders...

and abuse the **** tent: fthrow ->utilt->bthrow->jab->bthrow->nair->usmash

and shdl -> usmash is sexy

The quintessential Fox zero-to-death combo on Hyrule:

SH fair -> Dtilt -> SH Dair -> utilt -> SH Dair -> utilt -> SH Dair -> Jab -> Usmash

Of course, the thing with Fox is that you're usually varying his moves on the fly. The combo above works on many characters but with slight variation for each, and you may need to chain more or different hits to make it KO properly.

The **** tent combo is key. Get them up to decent damage with Bthrow-jab-bthrow-nair & jump up to the ledge on the left - usmash their helpless body

On Captain Falcon, I like Uptilt to weak hit Nair at medium/highish percents ;)

I could tell you so many combos but in spanish because I don't even know the attacks in english.
i dont think he means your type of combos, ahaha

your combos are far to complicated for in game play

but seriously you dont know english names?

Air = Aerial attacks (attacks done off the ground)
Tilt = Slightly held attacks (prime example would be foxs tail swipe which is Dtilt)
N= No direction is held on the analog stick
U = Up direction is held on the analog stick
D = Down direction is held on the analog stick
F = Forward direction is held on the analog stick
B = Backward direction is held on the analog stick

so...

The combo i posted would be expressed as

Nair-->Dtilt-->Dair-->Utilt-->Fair-->Dair-->Backwards Throw-->Dair-->Backwards Throw-->Uair

And smash for smash attack.

So usmash, dsmash, fsmash.

And throw for throws:

So: bthrow, fthrow...

And jab for neutral A.

this is what I like to do, but I was wondering if people could SDI out?

I SDI out of CF combos sometimes, and out of Mario/jigglypuff combos all the time, so I was wondering how you good foxes played through this...

That's pretty much it. For neutral attacks. Just

Direction + type of attack.

Direction = u/f/b/d
Attack = smash/tilt/air/throw

So uthrow, fair, btilt, and dsmash.

Jab is the only exception, standing A.

Specials have different names though, usually it's:
dirB, where Dir is
Up
Down
or just B
So UpB, DownB, B

Special attack names:
Tornado - Mario Up-B
Shine - Fox DownB
Fireball - Mario B
Thunder/TJolt - Pika DownB,
Stone - Kirby DownB
Laser/Blaster - Fox B
Falcon Punch/Kick - Do I have to explain it <_<
Charge Shot - Samus B
Boomerang/Bomb - Link B/DownB
It if I remember.

well to be honest to know ALL the name would be annoying, when i refer to special attacks i just call them B (because they are done with the B button) then the direction you hold to perform the attack

UpB would be your third jump (for everyone cept yoshi and Jiggly)
B would be simply pressing the B button without holding a direction (foxs lasers, marios fireballs)
DownB would be holding down while pressing B (Mario's tornado spin, Falcon's, falcon kick)

using directions to represent moves simplifies them, which also makes it easy to write them down

some other things you might want to know would be

SH = Short hopping (jumping small distance from the ground)
SHDL = Short hop followed by double laser (Fox's ability to fire two lasers in one small jump)
Spike = A meteor smash (Falcons Dair, Ness's Dair...ect)
Parry = Yoshis ability to fully block an attack with no delay by shielding at the right time.
Fire Jump Punch (FJP)= Luigis UpB when done close to another character. (also called STFUppercut)
Johnz = EXCUSES for losing that are irrelevant...commonly mistaken for reasons.
KB player = A player who uses a keyboard when playing online smash.

if i remember anything else ill post it HERE when i do remember :p

Hey I need some serious help. I play a very good fox and can string up random combos ll the time. i use these combos too, especially the hyrule right side backgrab action to backgrab nair upsmash. The only thing is my main opponent here plays ONLY Falcon. After endless fox vs. falcon matches, he's gotten my strategy down almost too well. I can beat him with any other character though, and he can't play anyone else for ****. But, whenever I approach this kid all he has to do is get an upsmash, then I'm automatically at 90+ percent. I also have LOTS of trouble doing a dtilt to drill. He seems to always land and tech so every hit goes right through him at the exact time and he gets his grab or most likely, upsmash. Edgeguarding he fsmashes me like no other. But my problem is his constant upmash repeptive upsmash juggling. With fox's weight/recovery time, its just upsmashx3->upair->upair->upB dive. I cna't get past that first upsmash.

don't do a landing fair to utilt, do it to dtilt
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

I tried the fair->dtit. Although to utilt sometimes works better, the majority of times, dtilt is AWESOME. Helped me think of future stuff.

However, Surri, nair->dtilt is even better at higher percents [when fair has too much knockback]. These two stuff helped me Fox game BIG time.

Now I need stuff for Mario. My Fox, Ness, Pikachu, and now even Jiggs are better than my Mario. :p

Well, you used nair->dtilt. I was just saying it helped a lot. Maybe "However" was not the right word. :p

Well, probably it's because of how I use it. Whenever I use fair, I hit with the tip of it [for spacing], and I try to use it earlier rather than fresh hit. Since the fair hits far and at high percents they fly farther, they are too far away for a dtilt. With nair, they're close enough. I dunno, it just ended up that way, nair working when fair doesn't, I dunno. :p

I dont know, at higher % i think Fair would be better...and by Fresh hit i meant at the first few frames...later frames are weaker ..lower % and lower knock back
