Is it possible?
If so, where can i get it?
If not, why?

This thing happened with ACTION REPLAY in melee and it REALLY help the development of characters. I didnt see a regular Q&A thread so i made this thread. If its against the rules, would you at least allow some one to answer it before it is locked?

*hopes people dont hate xyro*

I'm sure that there can be a code written that allows the hitboxes of characters to be drawn, but I don't know if such a code exists.

There are SOOOOO many things the character boards could do with that data(if its possible). We could see lucarios TRUE range and/or snakes UP-TILT range. We could see if angled f-tilts/smashes gained a bigger hit box. The possibilites keep growing!!!!!!!!!!

It's a cool option and though I have no problems helping vBrawl, our two major coders are balls deep in Brawl+ code work. I'm not sure they have the time to fit it into their coding agendas. It still would be a sweet code for both games.

Its been theorized a lot, but nothing has come to fruit of it. We know how to alter lots of properties of a hitbox, but have no methods to image them.

It would really help both vbrawl and brawl+ alot but like GoG said they only have 2 coders and im sure codes for brawl+ right now is on the top of their lists.

I would support this, but it would take lots of time to code this, so it seems like the next project after Brawl+ codes.

Is there no way to sorta, when the character attacks, the entire it box turns into a black/red/yellow colour? Or is it way more complicated than that? :)

this is way to complicated to just "make" people. the only reason you could do it in melee was because it actually had a debug mode

This.

If there's no code in the game that says to blatantly show the hitboxes, it just isn't possible. It was in Melee because of the DEBUG MENU, the DEBUG MENU people. There wasn't an individual code for it if I recall correctly. Just the debug menu, which last I checked, is not in Brawl and all of its data was trashed before the game was released...

It's possible. But it's also possible to program Pong into Brawl's memory.

The fact that the game has no system of doing it itself means that adding it in is hideously difficult. You would have to hijack the code which decides where hitboxes are placed, and write a custom script to create an image overlay (as well as being able to load this image), as well as remove said image when the hitbox goes.

It's not feasible.

That'd be fun actually, where instead of a paddle you use captain falcon and have to knee the ball.

I thought more in the lines of recreating the actual black and white pong, to show people that there are basically no limits. but yeah knee pong sounds fun too
