I'll probably be there, along with Josh and maybe a few other WMers. I'd prefer to have it earlier in the day, honestly, but if 7 pm works for everyone else, then that's fine. No guarantees we'll stay til 3 again though.

can't make it :( turning ODU's Stables Theatre into a haunted house before all of the showings of Rocky Horror Picture Show this week ^_^ [a couple midnight showings too so it's not like I can come afterward]

BTW this theatre actually IS haunted, it's a couple hundred years old and existed while this area was still in the confederacy...dead soldiers and all kinds of madness. Every single person who's worked in this theatre has insane stories...and reliable ones too [from as recent as August ;__; ]...so we're taking our chances on using this to create a "fake" haunted house that we'll guide people through. Please come for that as well as Rocky Horror afterward! I think we have a midnight showing on wednesday [I'll double check when all the showings/haunted housings are this week and post it if anyone's interetsed] and I think you can dress up and there's a contest? again, I'll check.

hope people can make it =D

CNU! You guys should come see this!!! If you don't have time for the haunted house AND Rocky, pick one!
This is the trailer for Rocky [yes, this is the actual ODU production of it]
http://www.odu.edu/al/theatre/

15 bucks for non-ODU students

The last shows are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday!!!
FRIDAY NIGHT MIDNIGHT SHOWING! Costume contest! and..um..lots of interesting costume choices [you guys missed me last night in fishnets, a miniskirt, and some sleeveless leather zipup or something...whatever the hell it was my friend pulled out for me at the last minute] And you get to do callouts during the performances [hah, like when you a silhouette of these two people, one on top of the other with the other's legs in the air, everyone screams GOOOAAAALLLLL!!]. It's a lot of fun.
But if you can't make it to the midnight one, that's fine...I'll actually probably be going all out for that one =D

HAUNTED STABLES!!!!
October 25 9-11pm
October 26 9pm-12am
October 27 8-10pm

3 bucks to get in

so i may have a player or two for beginner level this coming week..

also, i would prefer if we could start earlier..or at least maybe do singles first so we can get back by 2ish instead of ending at 3 and getting back closer to 4.

teams will be draft/ random maybe? or real teams..as we all know how much W&M practices teams it doesn't really matter to me.

is dean going to be there again? i'm just wondering if i'm going to have to go gay just to avoid getting knocked out so i can get to play cow this time;p

HEY LISTEN!

I'm working out the details for a new time slot on Saturday due to many a person's wish to have the tourney earlier. The President, Thor, and I have agreed that we are going to start friendlies at 4, and then start the tourney @ 5. This way, around 6-7 we can start ordering pizza. However, here is the catch:

1. We obviously do not have the money for pizza for everyone, thus there is going to be a fee for those who want pizza. Please bring $10 dollars if you want pizza. You will probably get an entire pie, thus, if you think you and a friend want to share a pizza, bring $10 together. Otherwise, since the tourney will still be around dinner time, there are some places to eat in walking distance (10-15 minutes) from the Multi-purpose room (Subway, Tropical Smoothie, Panera... etc.).

2. Also, there is going to be snacks, which anyone can bring, since we always have a bunch. We don't need so many drinks this time (lots of left-overs) but we still need snacks. Anything brought would be very helpful.

That's about it. I'll post again once I've got confirmation that the time slot for both the multi-purpose room and the study lounge have been changed to 4 for us.

hah, perhaps you need a better application of said fee? like: okay, there is a $__ venue fee, there will be pizza, snacks, and soda [you will determine beforehand how much you spend on snacks and soda by considering how many people may show up...pizza, however, will obviously be ordered according to how many people there are]
By making the venue fee mandatory [unless you want to employ the classic rule of "if you bring a full setup, no venue fee"], it guarantees proper food accommodations. The good thing is that if you say that all of that will be there, more people would be interested in showing up. I suggest a 5 dollar venue fee. Volume works wonders. Also, if someone shows up and says "we don't plan on eating, do we still have to pay"...the answer is yes...................then agaaaaiiin, I was running that **** at my house, where there was an actual cost to using the place. I don't imagine it costs you guys anything beyond the advanced time it takes to reserve the place...correct? So maybe you don't have to stick to that "venue fee for everyone" rule...but for people who don't want to eat, politely suggest they donate to the cause ^_^ Just don't touch any food!!!

yaaayuhhhz earlier is fine. I may bring me some BLKG to this mess...hopefully some |Egg| Sniper as well. OH AND YOU BEST BELIEVE I'LL HAVE MY ADDERALL THIS TIME, JUAN!!! No johns if I lose this time around ^_^ I WILL beat that Falcon...I can see it...and it's glorious =D

yeah the organization for food like that is something of an unnecessary planning nightmare. we're not getting a volume discount for ordering together or anything, so just get your own food.

^_^; I was kinda planning on using massage-tip $ towards pizza for [at least] the CNU crew afterwards... but yo, w/e people think will work best, I'm fine with. Just note that I *am* bringing peach soda (which is def not an unfair advantage... lol Meg), probably 2 cases this time, since it seemed to go pretty fast last time. Hope to see EVERYONE there on Saturday! (including my boiiii..!!) -^_^-

We got the room at 4.

In response to all the food ideas, we're going to go with this policy:
- If you want dinner, bring money ($10) and we'll order you a pizza (actually 2 medium pizzas since there is a cool little special at chinellos).
- If you don't bring money for pizza, you are responsible for your own dinner. Like I said, there are places nearby.
- There will be snacks and drinks for everyone. This will be provided by us, and others who wish to donate. If you want to donate to the cause, we ask everyone to bring 1 2-liter bottle of something, or something to snack on (such as cookies).

That's about it.

good **** John. I'll still be offering massages though and I'll contribute tip money...to me pocket, of course $_$ jk jk...I'll help out with costs since I know how expenses can stack up whenever you host anything

update: if all things go as planned, I will be bringing Kitsune King, King of the Road [rapetatic Y. Link...sweet mohawk], and BLKG (and Ether? If he doesn't have work.)

wtf juan, just treat him like a link but worse.. it's not that bad lol
man...he is one tricky *******...just watch out for that fire spike, Juan...I think Captain is one of the characters he's really good at embarrassing with hit =D
haha, the only time I intentionally sandbagged was at the very end of that match when everyone was ready to start crews and I was frustrated so I was like alright, I'll stand up and eat this Falcon Punch, he deserves it cuz I got my *** beat. Good ****, Juan...can't wait for our rematch!

Juan, you gotta change the name of this thread, and interrogative title just doesn't cut it :p

Cow, if I manage to find a driver for my usb recording device, I'll do the recording this time, to take the burden off of your laptop. Draft Crews, anyone?

Well, we're starting random doubles at 5pm, that should end around 7-7:30 ish. Singles will take til around 10-11 ish. That gives us a good amount of time. We'll just do it C-Stick style, top 4 placers in singles will be captains.

word?

edit:

THIS IS IMPORTANT!

When you walk into the York West Lobby, tell the front desk assistant that you're heading to the Multi Purpose Room. Otherwise, you'll need to be signed in, and that process multiplied by every non-CNU student would only take forever :p

Yes, thanks for that Reminder Trey. Please tell the front desk people that you are here to come to the York West Multi-Purpose Room. I may tell the front desk ahead of time so that they are prepared, and they might be able to make the transition easier for us.

Thanks very much for this note ~ Not that we mind, b/c there are usually enough York West ppl to sign everyone in, but it'll make things go a good bit faster :)

I just realized that I may be late to the tourney due to having a f***ing class Saturday.
If anything though, I will just miss friendlies, I will make it back before 5 for sure.

Sorry about that.

Yeah, I'll ask Jake/Mark, but I kinda doubt they'll want to go. They seem like they'd want to take a weekend off from Smash. If we bring more than you and me, then people may want to leave early, and then cars becomes a problem.

I'm down for Draft Crews.

Ether...let me know if you can go or not. I haven't had a chance to talk to BLKG yet but ndn wants to go and I'm already giving Kits and KOTR a ride...I don't know if ndn needs a ride. It'd be really convenient if we had two cars going though haha, maybe BLKG can be the other car? I think it's mandatory for me to return to the theatre that night as a theatre major because we have to completely take down the set and deconstruct everything that was built as saturday night is the final night of the show and make it as if the show never happened. I'll see what kind of brown magic I can work so that I don't have to leave that early. If I had to leave, it would be at like 9:30 or 10 ;___;
