i seem to forget sometimes that i don't always have to exploit kingdra's weakness since kingdra's usually dont invest into their defenses or hp anyway haha...
he can die by a fighting or normal move or something xD

celebi and cress are two good pokes to send out against kingdra. grass types in general aren't good to send out because of ice beam, but...high spdef calm minders can set up before kingdra can finish them off with ice beam. celebi in particular is frustrating because of its high defenses and generally defensive EVs to let it set up and support. gyara can also set up pretty easily if there's no stealth rock, since kingdra's best options are water (ineffective), dragon (neutral), and ice (neutral, but no stab) and it gets outsped even with swift swim after 2 DDs, when it can then be ohko'ed by one of gyarados' boosted attacks.
I ****ing hate dealing with celebis though, so I threw signal beam on my SpAtk kingdra. Needless to say, they're surprised when they try to set up and then get ***** by x4 power from a swift swim kingdra. :D

it doesn't take a lot of setup, hahahaa
as long as they don't have a priority move or a ohko, outspeeding the next turn is good unless it's something dumb like a scarfed gengar, in which case i have to use floatzel
and kingdra isn't that strong, just balanced

this guy was on the ropes, and his last poke was a choice'd gengar. He locked it into sludge bomb and ohko'ed my ludicolo. I sent out Jirachi.

in other news, Drain Punch is a funny move. I used my jirachi with drain punch to whittle down a magnezone, trading blows and killing it with just under 50% health left. It also destroys blissey, which I've truly grown to hate.
as long as they don't have a priority move or a ohko, outspeeding the next turn is good unless it's something dumb like a scarfed gengar, in which case i have to use floatzel
and kingdra isn't that strong, just balanced
