New and improved Dorf deserves his own reveal trailer. That would get me more hyped than any newcomer.People, it is painfully obvious that the ganondorf we know from melee and brawl will get the axe...new and improved ganondorf will take his place
They could totally differentiate themselves from anyone on the cast. I won't argue that."Prop-swinging lightweights." "Customizable humanoid." Yeah, good points, I can see where you all are coming from. But you can't deny that they can in fact differentiate themselves from the Villager/G&W/WFT. None of them use magic, none of them wield a sword, none of them have a shield, none of them use musical instruments, etc etc.
We see Bowser fighting falcon, falcon tries to use falcon punch on bowser, bowser easily dodges and knocks falcon, ganondorf appears and challenges bowser, ganondorf tries to use dark falcon punch on bowser but bowser dodges it and kicks him, heavily damaging him, ganondorf gets a flashback of all his fights with Link and remembers everything and takes a notes that he wrote before going there, bowser smiles and starts walking towards ganondorf, ganondorf laughs and throws an electric ball to bowser "Ganondorf remembers his moves" then he takes his two swords "ganondorf remembered to bring his swords" and then ganondorf beats the crap outta bowser an we have his new moveset trailerNew and improved Dorf deserves his own reveal trailer. That would get me more hyped than any newcomer.
There's a difference between them being able to, and not needing to be forced to. The Miis would need to be forced around the Villager's moveset, and that just doesn't seem right, imo."Prop-swinging lightweights." "Customizable humanoid." Yeah, good points, I can see where you all are coming from. But you can't deny that they can in fact differentiate themselves from the Villager/G&W/WFT. Personally, they're essentially a "troll mode" being thrown into a fanbase full of trolls. They're also a non-character whose moveset is utterly redundant in a game with both Game & Watch and Villager being prop-swinging lightweights.
Two of those characters are omitted from the newest game, and the rest fight completely differently, sans Toon Link, but he is intentionally a clone.
Yup. Really redundant..
Really, the more I see the "Doesn't bring anything new" argument, the more I think it's just a convenient argument that anyone uses when they don't want a character.
Yeah, I'm not too fond of them appearing in the Mario games either. I'd much rather have them as a visual representation of one's account. I guess now we have the Nintendo Network and they are being used somewhat in that fashion. However I do tend to gravitate towards their use in Mario Kart if I'm indecisive. Isn't that pretty self-contradictory of me?They could totally differentiate themselves from anyone on the cast. I won't argue that.
I just have an internal bias against them, I guess. They are semi-interesting as avatars, but that's about it. I don't like them interacting with Nintendo characters. I wish they weren't in the Mario Kart series, either.
huh. not used to being a hater.
Eh, no they wouldn't. What does the villager have in common with Miis? The boxing gloves and bowling ball. That's really it. All the rest of the Villager's moveset is all based on Animal Crossing, with zero similarities to any Mii-starring title. Look to Wii Sports, Play, Play Plus, Sports Resort, Party, Party U, Find Mii, Streetpass Mii Plaza DLC games, Nintendo Land...I'm telling you, they've got a ginormous reportoire of potential moves, man. There's a difference between them being able to, and not needing to be forced to. The Miis would need to be forced around the Villager's moveset, and that just doesn't seem right, imo.
No, it isn't painfully obvious. It is far more likely that he will treat Ganondorf as he treats all other semi-clones. He will further declone him, Ganondorf will keep his original moves. I mean, I suppose he will be new and improved to an extent. Just don't expect an entire overhaul.People, it is painfully obvious that the ganondorf we know from melee and brawl will get the axe...new and improved ganondorf will take his place
Don't forget the entire gimmik. That's a pretty important one.Eh, no they wouldn't. What does the villager have in common with Miis? The boxing gloves and bowling ball. That's really it.
That was my point....and the rest fight completely differently, sans Toon Link, but he is intentionally a clone.
It isn't the specific actions that are seen as redundant. It is the general concept of a character designed as an avatar using everyday objects in combat.Eh, no they wouldn't. Listing Link and his two clones (one of whom is polarizing even now), plus Marth and his clone perhaps isn't the best argument that redundancy is avoidable within an archetype.
Yup. Really redundant..
Really, the more I see the "Doesn't bring anything new" argument, the more I think it's just a convenient argument that anyone uses when they don't want a character.
Eh, I only admit to being a hypocrite when it's useful for making a point.Yeah, I'm not too fond of them appearing in the Mario games either. If Mii's do get in and don't get a Wandering Heroes alts I'll be sad.Pfffft. Who needs Miis when you have Wandering Heroes. They represent Find Mii and could have a cooler moveset than Miis with magic, swordplay, shields, and summons! Plus they come in Dog and Cat flavors! They could even be a duo!
YA'LL SPECULATORS NEED WANDERING HEROES
Swords, shields, hangliders, all-encompassing bubbles, magic...pretty common household items, I tell you.It isn't the specific actions that are seen as redundant. It is the general concept of a character designed as an avatar using everyday objects in combat.
Also, the various sports equipment and household objects you listed before when it served your point but neglected to mention when it served mine.Swords, shields, hangliders, all-encompassing bubbles, magic...pretty common household items, I tell you.
Excuse my sass.
I already mentioned that some of those moves were already taken by Peach and Villager...Also, the various sports equipment and household objects you listed before when it served your point but neglected to mention when it served mine.
Again, it is the general concept, not the specific instances of the items.I already mentioned that some of those moves were already taken by Peach and Villager...
Yes I am using those things to serve my point. Because quite frankly, Find Mii IS getting some representation, and if "everyday" objects don't differentiate them from the pack, then their other powers/items/equipment featured in that title will.
Then, click on my sig!!!Eh, okay, the Miis could "do different things." Excuse me while I go support other characters who can also do different things and be ten times more interesting to me in the process.
I think they will just be Global Smash Power avatars.Eh, I only admit to being a hypocrite when it's useful for making a point.
I'll admit, I think Mii's are more deserving than a whole lot of other suggestions I've seen. I guess I wouldn't be angered with them if some others from my wishlist got in.
I just don't feel they are necessarily central to Nintendo history, or needed characters in the slightest.
Without us; there is no Nintendo. We are arguably more important than even Mario. Contemplate that!Mii could be ok if they were different from Villager and G&W and Peach. The thing that really bothers me about them is that they would be us. We are not Nintendo All-Stars.
Well, then maybe they won't be caged in a general concept! Maybe, they ain't gonna fight with sports/everyday items! Maybe they're gonna don a sword and shield and some magic power and maybe hop into a spaceship for their Final Smash! The games in the Streetpass Mii Plaza have probably been among one of their most "game-y" roles, given that they've been playing sports and board games and music most of the time in their games!Again, it is the general concept, not the specific instances of the items.
Yes, there is a chance Ghirahim can be in Smash Bros.Ganondorf is more likely over Ghirahim, due to a variety of factors, which I'm sure you know. Reoccurring in Smash and Zelda, ect... All I'm saying is that there is a CHANCE, however big or small, that he Ghirahim could make an appearance in Smash. However, I also don't think the rep. cap. per franchise will exceed 5 this time around, making me think both will not make it. Only Ganondorf(likely) OR Ghirahim.
All of those things have been done by other characters, and putting them all in one movesets doesn't make them unique - it just makes them another "random" character.Well, then maybe they won't be caged in a general concept! Maybe, they ain't gonna fight with sports/everyday items! Maybe they're gonna don a sword and shield and some magic power and maybe hop into a spaceship for their Final Smash! The games in the Streetpass Mii Plaza have probably been among one of their most "game-y" roles, given that they've been playing sports and board games and music most of the time in their games!
No, I'm sorry. There are soooo many people who play Nintendo games. Saying that each and every one of them is more important to Nintendo than Mario is backwards. We aren't Nintendo's heroes, Nintendo makes the heroes for us to play as.Without us; there is no Nintendo. We are arguably more important than even Mario. Contemplate that!
Seems kind of an odd thing to do when every character's move set is customizable.I'm just saying, Miis would be cool. Maybe there wouldn't be a default moveset. Rather, you would be forced to customize your Mii's moveset. That would make them stand out.
