It doesn't do anything. You just wear and look fabulous for a brief period of time.

Choice Scarf: Boosts your speed, but you can only perform one kind of attack until it wears off. It would basically be worse than the Bunny Hood.

No. Nope. There's no reason for that to happen. It's not like Baby Mario being carried by Yoshi is a new thing for the Yoshi series. It was in the original, it was in YI DS, IIRC it was in Touch & Go(?), and I'm pretty sure it was in other Yoshi games as well. No reason for it to be added.

I don't understand why people don't seem to realize it's very unlikely Yoshi is being held back from being revealed "just because" and therefore won't just be revealed randomly, or when any other veteran could be revealed in his place.

He's got two games coming up. The majority of notable games so far have had character promotion. Chances are Yoshi will be the only character capable of promoting those games. It's not such a stretch to see what he's being held back for.

Yo. Yoshi fan here. Whilst I'd love for the above statement to be wrong and see my main finally, these are clearly truth words that N3ON is spouting.

Yoshi's gonna show up when Yoshi's New Island gets it's Japanese release...whenever the hell that is.

Not sure whether or not this is a personal roster, but if you're adding based on known factors that affect character chances, go with K. Rool.

I'd cut the Mii and stick in anyone else in its place, too; since you don't have Pacman, you don't seem to be adding based on the E3 leak. As such, there's no obligation to stick in the single worst newcomer candidate.

To be completely honest, I like both of them. But I think they both have equal footing, so I just went with Dixie out of preference.

They didn't. As you said, Pac-Man isn't on the list.

Lip, Chrom, and Isaac probably and since the rest of the newcomers are basically untouchable, 3 veteran cuts are left.

Heh, it's very similar to my prediction roster.
Except I had a different character instead of Shulk, forgot who though....
And I had just a Fire Emblem icon instead of Chrom because I just couldn't make up my mind.

Eitherway, I think it's a pretty realistic roster yeah.

I thought custom may have been Mii.
Aside from bias I see no reason why Mii shouldn't be included. It's just everyone hates it.

None, because there's absolutely no reason to do so.

And if I were to cut it down to 45, I would have to cut more than six, because counting transformations, I've got 55 characters. That would be ten removed.

I might include Miis. If nothing else, when/if Miis are revealed, I'll replace the Custom slot. Or perhaps the Random slot. We'll see.

I simply don't care for Pac-man, so unless he's confirmed, I won't include him.

While we're posting rosters:

Row themes:

1. Mario Universe
2. Famicom Disk System Four (Metroid, KI, LoZ, Mysterious Castle)
3. RPG series
4. Science Fiction/Cosmos related characters + contemporary series.
5. Retros + third parties + Mii

Basically, I left in some open slots for DK, LoZ, and FE just in-case if, for example, you don't want Dixie Kong but want K. Rool in, and vice versa.

This roster over here isn't something I'm expecting to happen, just my ideal, absolute MAXIMUM roster.

If you're asking why there's six Zelda characters over five Mario characters, it's not what it looks like. Tingle is representing his own series here, like how Yoshi and Wario do.

Yeah, like I said, this is just my totally maximum roster right there. The first roster is my actual one.

That being said, considering FE is a long running series with 13 games and a small, five game series like Star Fox has three characters, I'm not sure if four FE characters would be that big of a stretch, at least for Smash 5, especially with Mario, most likely Pokemon, and possibly Zelda moving up to five character slots.

If you're asking why there's six Zelda characters over five Mario characters, it's not what it looks like. Tingle is representing his own series here, like how Yoshi and Wario do.

With Sheik, Zelda, Toon Zelda, and Tetra, Zelda would actually have seven characters, eight including Tingle.

Everyone seems to forget that Zelda already has five characters. It has since Melee.
