I'd take Lloyd from Tales of Symphonia, Vyse from Skies of Arcadia, Dovakhin from Skyrim/Dragonborn from Oblivion, Alien hominid is a must, Dhalsim from Stree Fighter, Eddie Gordo from Tekken...that's all I can think of right now

I mained the Elf in my gameplay because THAT BOSS SHREDDING FIRE VOLLEY but I felt that the Sorceress was a more iconic character for the representation. And the joke would be of her and Marisa having similar ways of playing, being the Kirby and Jiggs for my set-up.

You do realize we're talking about INDIE games, right? This isn't a mashup of any video games whatsoever, none of those are Indie games.

No, Child of Light is Ubisoft, its not Indie. It definitely RESEMBLES an Indie game, but its not really.

Shantae I believe counts as Indie now, though technically I don't think she was originally.

I am currently working on a fanfiction game called Ultimate Company Smackdown that has SSB's gameplay, but brings in 15 companies such as Shonen Jump, Disney, Sony, etc. I have created a Lana moveset for it:

(Standard) Barrier Push: Lana creates a barrier around herself to push enemies away, but do no damage.
(Side) Page Power: Lana fires three pages from her book to attack enemies.
(Up) Deku Sprout: Lana rises up on a Deku Sprout.
(Down) Elemental: Lana creates ice around herself to freeze enemies.
(FS) Lana Army: Lana summons enemies to attack.

Robin's FS or Ike's FS?

Both are mechanically similar: they launch the victim(s)into the air, with the player character following for a satisfying beating with a further satisfying finish. There are differences, however.

I apologize if this isn't the appropriate forum for this kind of topic. I do not mind if this was moved elsewhere.

Anyway, Ike's FS has a larger initial hit hitbox, I believe it does more damage, is difficult to kill steal from in FFAs because of the AoE from the strike down.

Robin's FS is flashier somewhat, may instead be the bigger damage dealer in the comparison, can be chained with a follow-up attack, and well...Chrom fanservice(bonus points toward damaging the ego of a Chrom-fanboy victim who is still bitter for Chrom not being a character fighter himself).

I'm not a Smash number cruncher but what are your guys impressions and opinions on which is the truly more effective FS?

Great Aether is easier to hit people with, so that's what I'd go for.

Yeah. If the point of the game is to have a mash-up of weird/unmixed companies, then the reasonable conclusion of getting them together would be to have the characters each company is known for.
You seem to not agree with his premise, whereas I am not critiquing the notion, but rather, the execution.

It would be like wanting an 'allstar' fighting game for Sony, Microsoft, Sega, Nintendo, Namco...and instead of having Mario, Sonic, Master Chief, Pacman, and Crash, we used characters from NiGHTS, Balloon Fighter, Katamari, The Last of Us, and Banjo Kazooie.

All of these indie game lists lack Issac. I am disappoint.

For indie games, even though Sakurai's criteria could always change, I don't think the idea of "Legendary" will.

So when it comes down to it, I think it's a tie between Commander video and Quote. Commander video being one of the first indie games on the wii eshop(right?) and Quote for being in general important for the indie game scene.
