Character commbo-ability

When brawl first came out, the main problem was...NO COMBOS.
So realistically, I've been wondering whether this is still a huge problem or not.
This list is my own personal opinion, but I would love for everyone to put their own thoughts into it.
I've simply labeled each character with a value between 1-5 to display my opinion on their combo ability. This does not take into consideration chaingrabs(except for ic's).

The top 5 comboing characters end up being, Metaknight, diddy kong, Lucario, Olimar, and Zss.
I think each of these characters can display an impressive ability to combo in brawl, much more so than we thought was there when the game first came out.
If people stopped playing like deucsh bags then maybe we could see a bit more of these combos. Even other members of the cast could show more of their **** off if everyone stopped planking all their lives.

Anyay, what do you guys think about the list? Accurate? Is it safe to say that YES YOU CAN COMBO in brawl? I think the top 5 of my list say you can, even the others, just not as loud.

Dunno'. Watched some Isai SSB64 vids earlier... the game had a ******** amount hit stun. Now those were combos. Brawl? It still seems like most of the combos are mad situational.

Yea, the impressiveness of the combos compared to melee or 64 is not comparable. But technically speaking, there are real combos in brawl.
Is there anything about the list you disagree with?

DK can combo u in air and u cant airodge. His uair and bair. Then again imma change DK to 3.75

spam uairs lmao. Even if u manage to airdodge the uair, he can just do another one to catch u out of it. Regardless he has a good ground game.

charizard should go up just a bit, even if its an extra .5. Also, game and watch should go up atleast a full point imo, hes one of the best comboers in the game i think

sure, some of the parts were avoidable, but not every part of the entire thing. and one mess up from your opponent and it starts stringing more and more attacks

Samus has some disgusting combos and a decent spacing game, as well as good recovery. She has a huge lack of killing moves, though, which really hurts her.

I think you need 2 play spammers link if you think he combos at a 2 lol
lucas has some set combos, ninja link u need 2 post vids of your lucas. No way Dk can combo more than link or lucas imo.
not sure I agree with marth being at a 4 either.
Luigi has tons of situational combos but I dont think enough of them are SET to have him at a 4.5

I like the idea of all this. I also believe that brawl does have REAL combos. Ima back that up with a Fox combo vid. It won't be out for awhile tho just give me time. Ima actually try to create a entire brawl vid based on nothing but COMBOS, I say that because some vids are horrible and then they acutally convince themselves it's a real combo vid. lmao. So yea time to get to work.

Alot of it seems to be right between YOU and NL. You see, the way i look at this topic is Brawl having Combos. That's it. I don't put any other game to mind, not even 64 or Melee. All i see is...
What is Brawl about.
What can it offer in terms of fighting.
And how far can we push the limits to this game to a point where we can actually have people scream "OMG! YOU SAW THAT FKN **** COMBO!" im waiting for that, big time.

Again and again since there ain't any hit stun, combos are put together based on the right moves syncing together with practically no lag (EX: Falco N-air to Rapid A)

Soooo the only time real skilled and legit combos will created is when high level players can take advantage of an opening and execute with a chain of moves that barely have lag, that's how i see things.

Charizard doesnt have aerial combos just ground combos. His ground game is good but in the air all his aerials u cant follow up with except his fair which isnt even a move that stuns u. I'm aware of the combos cause i was gonna make a video of combos for EVERY CHARACTER. I just pick random and record. When someones a 1 it means they cant combo period......Ike is DEFINITELY not one of those characters. Ganon i could understand. He just have a low percent dair to something and a possible uair to fair but thats it.


someone who gets a 5 meaning theres so much variation in the combo and when theres nothin u can do about it. Luigi.....Trust me...Gets what he gets. Imma put up a video of my luigi comboing the **** outta a rob and he cant do anything about it. I did like 71% from something unescapable. LUIGI HAS A KEN COMBO!!! COME ON NOW. He can actually do Fair, Fair, Dair and it spikes. I've seen it done.

He shouldnt be a 5 though. Luigi has amazing aerials. Ground game is good but it isnt that varied which why he isnt a 5. And since mario is a bit toned down from luigi....yea.....

What combos does Ike have that don't start with a nair or jab? I don't think 1 represents no combos, but almost no combos. No combos would be a zero, and there really is no character that warrants that.

I haven't played too many Links, so I admit I could be totally wrong about that. But I think Marth deserves the 4 because of his ground forward b combos, his dtilt, his chainthrows on some characters, his grab => fsmash on some characters, and his ability to spam aerials.

If u think its pointless, why post? I obviously didnt think it was pointless so letting me know how you feel about it....is pointless.
I put it in regional zones because I wanted the opinion of the smashers I SEE, TALK TO, AND PLAY. I put like everythread I make in atlantic north so...thats my reasoning.
