Pretty sure his point is on the more "there's a lot of great anime that isn't mainstream," not a "omg if it's mainstream it assuredly is too weak for my highly refined tastes"

don't see things when they aren't there imo
^This.

Im not saying mainstream anime is bad, I hate that metaility. However, a lot of anime fans have titles like Naruto as their standard, and these people are oblivious to good anime. I wont lie, I was like that before. My taste consisted of dubbed DBZ and Zoids. Then I started watching subbed Gundam Seed, and it changed my whole perspective.

They should all watch gungrave.

Btw Alan since they meet only once per week they limited it to 26 episodes or less for what they show.

Edit: Dajuan I guess it's good now, I'll go I know, most people should be fine with it.
No Casey, im not saying they should sit down and watch ALL 50 episodes of Geass, or ALL 39 episodes of Death Note, im saying they should screen the first few episodes of certain anime. Then maybe they could rent out the anime if people wanted to continue to watch it, thus not taking away from the **** melee pot.

They're like on episode 4 of Elfen Laid. Which means they wont watch another tile for another few weeks. Thats dumb.

Gundam 00 season 2

Too good.
* Based on a light novel series by Kamachi Kazuma, illustrated by Haimura Kiyotaka.

Set in a city of scientifically advanced superhuman students, but in a world where magic is also real. Toma Kamijo's right hand, the Imagine Breaker, will negate all magic, psychic, or divine powers, but not his own bad luck. One day he finds a young girl hanging on his balcony railing. She turns out to be a nun from the Church of England, and her mind has been implanted with the Index-Librorum-Prohibitorum - all the magical texts the Church has removed from circulation.
Hm. Eclipse subbing it, guess I'll check it out.

NEED TO SMASH THOUGH

That's not asking too much is it? This IZ a fundraiser =)

Well ****, I LIVE in Norcal, can I hit that?

And wait, why not have them fund raise like normal people. My high school anime club fund raised by selling pocky/various other candy, and people bought that **** like crazy. People who didnt even know what Pocky was, bought it. Just give them a sample, and they go crazy.

What I somehow read : Why not turn PockyD into a prostitute.

What I also read : Why not just have no tournament?

The price and place are the main reasons no ones going to go.

No one goes to San Pablo.

No one likes paying 8$ for a tournament.

Mixing both of them is dumb.

If they're going to fund raise, have them like sell stuff at the tourny. Or once again, fund raise like normal people. We're donating so hobbos can go to ****ing Fanime. Now i could understand if the people who we're fund raising for enter the tournament, but I dont want them mooching off of our money.

Wait.

We're paying extra so people can go to Fanime? Zz, pay for that out of your own pocket like the rest of us. Speaking of Fanime, I should go this time around. But yeah, I'd like to know what our money would be going towards.

It'd be a bit more understandable if it were to fund something essential, not...Fanime...
