Car Pool to MLG Orlando

Gotta make MLG Orlando plans soon if people intend on going, especially because tickets go on sale this Wednesday and you gotta buy em asap if you're going.

It's expensive to fly there, like $250 @_@ , so who wants to whip up a car pool?

I don't have a car, but if the one being driven is automatic and not stick, I can split driving some of the trip with whoever else drives.

TBH i suggest this whoever is down to drive to MLG orlando let us (the other drivers) definitally test drive it and make sure we know everything about the car (First step in safety) to drive there safely

Its mostly highway miles so really its nothing special and its a good 16-20 hour trip i'd assume i'm going to look up from my house to the MLG orlando venue right now and i'll post it out

drexel's campus in philly (idk sometimes im wary of putting my exact address on here). just calculate like 32nd and spring garden, philly pa 19104.

my place is right next to i-95, which is the highway we would take down to orlando, only like 5-10 minutes off the highway.

Like i said from chibos area to orlando flordia

Its Approx. 16 hours

1000 miles

and i calcuated gas there

its about 100 dollars in gas with a 30 MPG (my car)

So lets say we got 4 - 5 people in the car split it up

Easily would be 20 dollars a person 5 way (both ways 40)

25 a person 4 way (both ways 50)

Driving would be easily covered with a 3 way split on Chibo , Me and the other driver to cover our 16 - 18 hour drive

Remember this is all close APPROX timing and pricings so always bring a little bit more just in case

And i would say an easy way to do it would be to meet up towards chibo's area? considering its a straight way there from there

thank god for chibo though i really didnt want to airplane there LOL costs too much

from personal experience it will take longer than 16 hours guaranteed, probably closer to 18-19 depending on traffic, but when you're dealing with that much time, what's an extra 3 hours? lol

iv done the drive to florida a bunch of times. i didnt actually do the driving, my parents did when we went to disney. we're actually driving there just over 2 weeks b4 mlg I get back 1.5 weeks before i would have to leave for mlg hahaha

the longest it's ever taken us to drive down there was 24 hours from a lot of traffic. On average it's about 20 hours I would say. it's also about an hour longer driving from south jersey instead of philly. the 24 hours included stops, a couple times for food/bathroom, and i think a 2 hour nap at night or so.

the ride back is also def faster. on average its 16-18 probably.

I can drive. What days are you leaving and coming from FL? I'll have to tell my job in advance just in case I need weekdays off. (I already have weekends off, but I'm presuming we'd probably be leaving on Wed/Thurs and coming back on Mon/Tues)

i was looking from NYC to Orlando and for lowest person its bout 167 and round trip would be around 320 idk if that comes with string attactments but idk definitally looking to do it just gonna cost alot! xD i'll know more if i'm gonna take the plane when i buy my passes to enter MLG orlando

Thanks for the info Eggm, I'll keep a look on it, but MLG tix go on sale in just a couple days. But yea, gas money from driving is still a lot cheaper than flying. A LOT lol

We can't promise too many people outside Allied and myself atm (like PD + Kirin + D1 is already too much unless we find a van) and finding someone with a car is top priority.

We shouldn't pay for ALL of wills gas money lol, but making him pay less than us (or nothing if its not that much) is a fair trade for the wear and tear on the car. Then again we also pay him back by helping him drive
