I did some actual calculations for this, because I thought about it. It looks to save about 100-150 bucks per person over flying, and take about 20 hours (conservative estimate). This is all assuming that someone volunteered a car. Throwing a rental car in tacks on about 75 per person (assuming 5 people). So there's your numbers for you.

i likely wouldnt miss any work by driving, but yea thats normally an important factor. id only miss one-two days of classes which arent that important ones anyway. im off on everythning on fridays
