The flavor even says the mafia are cheating to win their vs matches. How can you win a vs match if you're not even playable in the first place?

This is a fair point. What if felyne is a third party allied with town? If the animal crossing theory is true than that makes a lot of sense for it. Of course I’m just going off of what evidence has been submitted

And the Felyne is the mascot of the Monster Hunter franchise even more so than the Hunters themselves. Is it really a stretch to think one would be present, especially since they've appeared as NPCs in vs Capcom games?

I would have no reason to claim such an odd character if it weren't the case, Swamp. Meanwhile White has been suspicious as all hell and certain people have been radio silent. Why go after the person who's willing to give information?

I do actually find the shipping thing believable.
