*Update*
I'm naming this minor thing C-Nikita. Dry name, but who cares?

*Controllers That is Confirmed to Work With This*
-Gamecube Controller
-Classic Controller (Thanks somefatkid)

*How to Preform*
Repetitively tap the C-stick up or down while controlling Nikita. The most effective method seems to be flicking the C-stick (Imagine strumming a chord on a guitar).

*The Effect of C-Nikita*
-Allows the user to move Nikita in increments usually impossible with the joystick.
-Decreases stalling time when changing directions.
-Can allow for more accurate long-distance hits/KO's.

*Explanation*
Did anyone realize that once you shoot Nikita, you are somewhat able to control it with the c-stick? For example, if you tap up on the c-stick, Nikita will go up ever so slightly, and if you tap up on the c-stick multiple times it will make Nikita go up even more. This can be done in all directions of course. If anyone is wondering "What practical use could this be in game?", well then how's this: It can give the user a method to make long-distance shots more accurate (assuming the user has enough skill). Hey, it's not a huge thing, but it's helped me get a few extra kills from the other side of Final Destination. Aaaand if this is already known, then my mistake.

THE SIMPLE EXPLANATION BELOW
No duh, I know the joystick works. Basically tapping on the c-stick allows you to move it by very small increments that are usually impossible with the joystick.

@Deadenddrive- yes, Gamecube is needed.
@ORLy- I'm not sure, I'll test it today when I get my hands on one.
@Magik0722- ...huh...?

*sigh* It did exactly what I told you it would do (What is so eventful about Nikkita moving in increments that the joystick is incapable of?). I know this thing isn't huge, but it can give you a few extra kills if you have the skill to take advantage of it. Again, this is not a huge tactic but just a minor discovery that many people may not know. Knowledge is power, learn all that you can.

Care to share :p?

Although I do see it useful for long range kills, you do learn to control the Nikita missile skillfully after a while.

This wouldn't hurt to try or fool around with though.

I use the classic controler so i confirmed that it works with that

I found that when you repeatedly tap the c stick up or down it can change the trajectory of the Nikkita a considerable amount. But if you try to do this with the regular control stick you would end up stalling the Nikkita. Since i found this ive used this a couple of times as a defensive menuver since you will hit a short hopping character farther away from you than useing the control stick

Ah, I tried this today and it did work quite well. I got the Nikita missile to explode very close to the edge by colliding with the stage, thus knocking my foe off.

Told you it has some use to it. You just need to have enough skill to take advantage of it.

*Update*
Updated my first post. Named this tech and also listed known controllers that it works with.

Thanks. All useful applications of this tech will be posted on the front and credited to whoever found them. I also need people to see if this works with the other controller schemes.

Lemme turn on my Wii to test. Off topic: (My tech was accepted into Jewdo's AT thread. Yay!)

Good job, potentially useful. I like the revision on the 1st post, it looks a lot better now.

Won't have a wii for a week, but to make sure...

Does doing this make the nikita turn without losing much speed, if any at all?

Yes, but it allows for only light turns. The longer the distance it goes while using it, the greater the turn.

The nikita slows down depending on how much it's been turned. C-Nikita makes little 5-10 degree turns, which don't slow it down at all. Using the control stick, though, unless you're really gentle with it, it's going to slow down.

Since I saw it wrong in another thread: Yes you can do this tech with the nunchuck combo, just set the Smashes to the Dpad, you can even influence the nikita with the tilt smashes but if you try it you wont find it viable since you will most likely cancel it with an involuntary downsmash or wont be able to curve it as much.

I have a theory that if you moved the c-stick in a quarter circle back and forth in the direction you want to influence it to that you could move it a lot faster. This works very well with smash DI and this sounds very similar. I need to test it or someone else could.

Earth?
Presumably R. From what I can tell, C Nikita doesn't change the missile itself, it just adds another level of control.

@Snakirby- Eeeh I gotta test it out. If it does work then you will be credited.
@AlAxe- I don't really know what you mean. I tried doing that but your geuss *appears* to be incorrect. If this somehow does work, then you will also be credited.
@CHOMPY- *sigh*.
@Leterren- Yeah that's basically what it is lol. It just gives you more control, but the greater the control the better.
