what do I do vs sheik other than have godly s2j escapist DI? I can't penetrate the invisible wall of potential trades so it mostly becomes me running around looking for hard reads and hoping I don't get pinned down. Trades are mad broken. I hate them so much.
2nd, what is falcon's fastest arial out of shield? Like what has an active hurtbox first?

Grab / bait ftilts / fairs with your ridiculous dashdance ... how do you get pinned down by Sheik come on now it's not like she can aggro you to death haha

We have a frame data thread, but each aerial has a different use out of shield anyway
Nair / Uair are fast, Knee / stomp are max reward and have different hitboxes, Bair is the in between and hits behind you

Falcon can out-camp sheik. Dashdancing is your best friend in that matchup like Wenbo said. Also bait ftilts and CC grab. uthrow and nair combos ****.

Watch how Hax does the matchup.

Think all you need to do is watch m2k to see why falcon cannot outcamp sheik if sheik is willing to play the waiting game. falcon will have to make the first move in most instances. How many sheiks approach falcon from neutral?

Edit: we can/must dd to create openings but I think you will wait a long time vs most sheiks if you want to make them run at you

Assuming neither player has a lead, Sheik can just get a full quiver of needles if Falcon doesn't approach, which is obviously an advantage.

Also, congrats to swedish delight.

Swedish beat hax? I really hope it was recorded, I'd love to see that.

I main sheik and I love when falcon attempts to camp. It isn't them staying far away that's scary. It's when they dashdance in your face, far enough to punish an approach, but close enough to pressure me to make a punishable mistake.

Sheik's are looking for the falcon to misspace an aerial or throw one out that will trade so that we can net a grab. The falcon should be putting pressure on me to make me whiff a tilt or aerial so they can get their first hit.

The matchup is all about who gets the first hit, and if it's a trade who can get the next hit.

I guess I have a pretty loose definition of camp. I don't mean just run away forever lol, just that falcon's speed gives him a decent defensive game. What I'm getting at is that you can use your speed/dashdance to capitalize on mistakes and create openings. Being able to stay out of her range and pivot nair, etc., not just running around hoping for dumb mistakes or being super agro and running into tilts.

Also, iirc, Swedish Delight got scraped at NEC?

Hey Hax, can you discuss grab combos or general combos against Sheik here?

I saw you do some uthrow chaingrab **** against M2k. I tried that against a local sheik and got him from like 20 to 40% when he kept DI'ing hard away. Of course, he could've just been sucking really hard at getting out of it.

EDIT: BTW, question for anyone, what do you do when you have Sheik at the edge in a grab at low percents? It seems like if they DI hard out, they just plain gets out of everything for free.

i usually

dthrow > react (usually want your back towards them)

b-air wall hits bad people / trades with fair nair and you can just grab the ledge if they DI hard away and then come up with bair

or you can just dair and take control of stage / keep them on ledge

kind of like vs peach except peach is terrible from the ledge

nope not even what i meant, nice try tho

>_>....

what i meant was as a tech chasing thing to get them to roll.

for example: after regrabbing a few times dthrow fox trot up to them tomahawk and watch what they do, if they're programmed to think you will say, nair them they will roll/dodge whatever and just react and knee them.

used it alot yesterday in this mm but idk Texas players suck as a whole so dont listen to me

Learn your terminology. Tomahawking =/= empty short hop.

Tomahawking is when you get someone to stay in shield by NOT doing an aerial. Then you grab them because they're still WAITING for the aerial and it kind of psychologically throws people off. It's not good to overuse it, though, because people adapt obviously.
