Fire wrestler cat grew on me over time in the Pokemon world. I picked Popplio to be honest, but I ended up picking up a Litten via trading and training him as well. Torracat was always one that I liked quite a bit, but I wasn't as sold on the other two. But now? I did a run through all 800+ Pokemon and picked out 50 favorites and the Litten line made it in that. Litten is adorable in the anime. And Incineroar is just very expressive and lively. Something that holds back Pokemon like Chandelure or Marowak for me is they generally don't have much personality. Incineroar has it in spades even from his early concept artwork. With Mimikyu out of the running, I have drifted to Incineroar as someone I support. I kind of hope the Gardevoir and Gothitelle rumor is true as well. Be pretty awesome to have every gen represented. But if I had to pick of the three, I'd go with Incineroar.
I'm curious as to why yuse guyz want Incineroar when we already have Charizard and Greninja. Nothing against the big fiery furball but I'd like to see a new Pokemon type represented in Smash.
We still have 5 types yet to be playable:
Ghost
Rock
Ground
Bug
Ice
And unless you count mega Charizard X, Dragon.
I want to see one of those types~
Others already touched on it not mattering a whole lot in the end, It'd be nice though in ways. But,
I love Ghost Pokemon quite a bit.
But there's almost no chance of any of them making it in besides one that annoys me. Decidueye is part Ghost. And while I don't hate the Pokemon itself, I hate that he is part Ghost. There's a clear difference between 99% of the Ghost cast and Decidueye... it's that he doesn't look anything like a Ghost Pokemon and I tend to forget he even is part of my favorite Type cause literally nothing about him makes me think of the ghouls I came to love.

I agree it would be a waste but then again we have a character like Ganondorf who has a plethora of unique moves to choose from all his games over the years and he continues to be treated as a semi-clone of capn falcon. Sakurai doesn't always make the most inspired of decisions..
This logic could also apply to Dixie, Isaac, Ashley, or literally anyone though. Characters may have potential, but the end result can be anything.

I think the Smash community hyped itself up on the bird cause it was the "obvious" addition. I recall pretty much anyone else was shot down quickly and dismissed as inferior. That all deflated thanks to Ivysaur's return. But there's still some pretty jaded people in regards to Decidueye not only taking a hit in being the most likely, but he also took a huge hit in popularity. In truth, both Incineroar and Primarina are more popular than Decidueye. The bird's main claim to fame was Pokken and people hyping him up for Smash cause "Pokken Important" and "Grass Starter." He never was the most popular, Rowlet holds that's line's popularity alone.
But ya, I see people trying to tear down the ones popping up now (Lycanroc, Incineroar, and Mimikyu before deconfirmation) making what Decidueye's support base looking more Poison Type as of late even though the bird still has a chance.
