You can't put it past people to double register... how hard is it to make two accounts on smashboards... and generante seperate brawl names/brawl codes?

That's true, but I stand by my previous statement. Besides, you'd need two Wiis and two copies of Brawl. That's $600...a ridiculous amount to pay to guarantee yourself two spots in any tourney...much less mine.

You can have a ridiculous number of brawl codes for one wii... how else can two siblings/friends go online and have unique identies with the same wii? It would be absurd if you could only have one brawl code per wii. That would limit how many people could play as their own name online.

1)The timing of matches are going to be done so perfectly that players won't have more than a few minutes to show up late (claim they were a little late)

2)People aren't going to care, they could try anyways.

I'm not assuming the timing of the matches is gonna be perfect. I just don't see how anyone's gonna be able to do it. I mean, what if you have to fight when you're using your second registration? And wouldn't you have to disconnect with the first and reconnect with the second? And then back? I appreciate your concern, really, but I don't think anyone's that dumb.

No...it's really not. Trust me. Eight minutes is plenty of time for a four-stock match. Thanks for your input, though! I might sound like I'm annoyed at you, but I'm not...I'm just kinda...stressed about the tournament.

Just a thought:

Tell people to record their matches..just in case someone loses and claims here that they won, they can post it on youtube people can prove what really happened. I play another game online and people try to lie all the time, so everyone takes screen shots of the outcome.

If the judges are able to observe matches, then I guess everything I just said is now void ....but it would still be fun to watch the finals of the first ever online super smash brothers tourny!

We actually have discussed this...we can trust people here. If there's a dispute (I'm just now making this up), they'll fight again and a judge will watch.
