Edit: Also, I think you guys are imagining the whole thing with your connections being better on Basic Brawl. Negativity bias. Since you actively want there to be no lag with friends, you remember laggy matches with friends better than you remember laggy matches in Basic Brawl. I personally have much more laggy matches in Basic Brawl.
