Movement speed is a very important thing. Sometimes, it can be very deceptive as well. Take for example Charizard. His walk speed, is abysmal (in fact, it is the slowest of all characters). However, his run speed is actually pretty decent! Moving on, I found a video that while not recent, it was certainly useful. It showcases the movement speeds for every character in Brawl, including running, walking, final smashes, and certain B moves. The video in question:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gEqUPu6ysK4

Now, keep in mind I DID NOT MAKE THIS VIDEO. However, I thought it prudent to note it down in a list, for posterity, and as a possible resource. To this end, I present to you the Brawl Movement Speed List, from slowest, to fastest

I guess this is helpful....

seems more useful if you were going to have say, a Brawl race or something though.......Still Im sure this will have some use.

However, wheres Ike`s Side-B? And Ness` and Lucas` PKT2?

Movement speed helps for hitting laggy characters with a low windup move.
Even if you have fast moves, if you can't get to someone you get camped well.

Well, the reason those moves are missing is because of how they measured the speeds. Basically they made a long flat stage, used a mode of locomotion over the stage, and measured how long it took for each character to fall off the opposite end of the stage. Their stage is too long for Ike's Side-B to complete in one go, and same for PKT2, which would explain why they don't have it.

Hmm, what about characters that can skip (ie. Peach)? And crouch walk?

This is a good start, but we need a value to put to them, and we need PKT and Quick Draw speeds in there.

Oh...makes sense I guess.
