ESAM originally opted in for nominations for Smash Summit 2, a Melee-only tournament. He then backed out (but didn't drop out) and said that people should vote for Wobbles instead. After that, he changed his mind. He got a ton of votes in the first round and is currently in the lead in the second round. People feel that he doesn't deserve his place because there are other nominees who are much better than him and are losing. Since those people have done more for Melee, they don't want ESAM to win.
