You guys are overthinking this.
Sure's, she's not a princess anymore, but that doesn't mean she's not Zelda anymore.
She's still be able to offer Light Arrows to Link, she still has the Triforce of Wisdom and everything else she could do (besides ruling over Hyrule), she still can.
She's just no longer a princess and there's nothing more to it.
