Hey Guys, Been wanting to do a critique thread for a long time I think I finally have enough vids to finally make one.

[Metal Reeper]

1st video - Wow Jesiah is a beast. You really need to get those waveshines. I also only saw you attempt a grab once.
2:29 you should of Usmashed or grabbed, anything. He was in a lot of lag and you just ran right past him.

2nd match - You did a lot better here. You were getting those Uthrow>Uairs which are very important.
Sheik's man killer is Fair. At 3:26 it was pretty obvious you were gonna get Fari'd but you DI'ed down and barely died. If you Di"ed up you probably would have made it. At 3:38 you get a nice Shine>Usmash you really need to string your attacks starting with shine.

3rd match - Kwan's DK is amazing. He kept CCing your Nair>shines. He punished you like that a lot in the beginning. Don't approach DK it's similar to the Marth MU. Wait until he misses an attack, then run in there and do a shine>shine>usmash (or whatever the hell you want) and get out of there.

I really like your Fox. I'll watch more later

I don't have time to watch more at the moment but after watching the first match I have this to say:


You are not playing the same game as Jesiah. You're moving fast (relatively) but you're not really playing the same game as him. You're play style is one dimensional and that is why Jesiah is able to beat you so effortlessly.

could only watch first two videos right now as I am at work, disregaurd anything as you wish sense, well, who the **** am I anyway?

match 1: people can critic it all day, in my opinion though, unless you are top pro, spacies are just boring to play and watch on FD, I hate it, and feel like I am not on my game on that stage. You can also john all day about sheik is gay *** ****, and a lot of people would feel your pain.

match 2: You play fast as hell. christ all mighty.... Metal Reeper i think hit this one on the head pretty well. Just keep on playing is my only advice, you obviously have a **** ton of skill ( tech and other wise ) and a lot of potential. Sometimes I feel playing fox or falco so agressively, fast, extremely technical, etc. leaves the player to get set up for **** so eassily because they are focusing on what they need to do when sheik can just kind of see what you are going for, and if he thinks fast enough can just kind of set up a free *** combo.


But once again my words hold no weight, I loved watching your fox, makes me want to just go and practice being faster and more technically sound.

you were undershooting a lot of your aerials and getting grabbed for it. You need to aim either at them, or, if they like to wd back/dd n stuff, OVERSHOOT!, this is so good, especially vs dd campy characters. aim for the back of their movement patterns, since when you approach, this is where they will go 90% of the time, until they adjust of course.

there are a few other things, but the lack of overshooting was the most obvious to me.

Thanks for the tips guys keep em coming, specially watch the set vs tuna ( its the last 3 asked him for bo5 just to get more footage >.>).

the undershooting is a major problem ive had for awhile. It seems I just get ***** by wd back or dd grab. I def gonna work on overshooting and empty short hop grabs and other stuff like that. Also gotta work on my lazer game only MU i use them is jiggz and then not even that much.

imma try to get more footage on here, was sposed to buy a dazzle but my friend hasnt shown up to sell me it yet. theres like 8 friendlys of me vs kwan That still needa go up So I have that.
