Best way to slip in or bait into Utilt?

So utilt is really useful in getting KOs, but while I usually land them eventually I realize that oftentimes I take more damage than I'd like to once I change the focus of the ground game from damage buildup to KO.

Outside of improv, I know about the grab release => utilt, but that's not always successful since the characters sometimes jump diagonally up away from snake's utilt.

What are some quick, clean ways of slipping in a utilt or baiting them into one?

What I tend to do is do the first hit of the ftilt, then quickly do the utilt. This almost always works since the first hit stuns the enemy for a good amount of time, leaving them open.

i like to grab people and just keep doing the grab attack until the break out, they ushally fall out next to u so u can combo them with a utilt, ftilt, aaa or dtilt.

Toss it in if they do something really laggy, like Ike's f-smash. Plus, the one StoleUrCar said.

the first hit of the ftilt doesnt always stun though, it occasionally forces the "tripping" animation at higher %'s (I think) and thats when you can pull off the ftilt to utilt, dont always go for that because it can be shielded usually.

If yr jab is spaced right you can combo into Utilt.

Also, after downthrow it's relatively easy to tech chase into Utilt.

Having grenades/mines/C4 on the field pressures opponents into staying away from them. Use this to your advantage. They will be too pre-occupied with avoiding these hazards that they forget about Snake's destructive close-combat.
