It's because down is the most powerful direction because it's amplified by gravity.
It's also where your ***** usually points.

ahh sorry yea I just missed it, weird cause I was specifically looking for it lol,i mentioned dair in the first post
along with the rest of her moveset haha.
it turns out most stuff can be ASDI'd down or CC'ed if u r slow, leaving grab as the **** button
You sound like you may be doing it a little too slow. Try to react a bit faster to him falling on the ground. Try to get used to jabbing him as he is bouncing on the floor. I've never heard of it missing and I've done it quite a few times on falcons so I don't think its a hitbox issue. What if they are C Faclon and your jab just misses them even tho it looks like it hits them?????? Ive had this happen at least 50% of the time when jab resetting. Is there some weird hitbox there? am i just too slow? idk. AND sometimes ill hit A to jab and then jump cancel grab or just hit Z and sometimes it jabs again then i gittttt kiilllleeed. whats the deal?
?????Best options:
1. Grab (can be avoided with buffer rolls)
2. Dair
3. Usmash
4. Empty aerial, regrab
This is truth.
Just... don't let them shield?if you let them shield?
