Woah, you're right, this is an amazing find! I guess Sakurai was just lying all those times when he said "the wii-mote will not be used in standard play". He must've been trying to throw us off. Sakurai, you sneaky little mastermind.look at how to play it has a Wii mote for its icon.
Well, Nintendo has said themselves that they are considering redistributing the Gamecube controllers..Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand again.
It will be Wii-mote compatible and quite possibly Classic Controller compatible, AND GC-controller compatible because Sakurai won't alienate those used to the GC one but also can't bother Nintendo to start distributing GC controllers again for one single game.
My theory.
He should let us do that. I need to replace my 2 other gamecube controllers that don't even work.i say we are going to be able to choose from
Wii remote and nunchuck
CC controller
or Gamecube controller
Very true. But one question...How will you jump without hitting up on the joy-stick?Meh, things are getting lost in rotation. . .
IGN
"Under the direction of series creator Masahiro Sakurai, Super Smash Bros. Brawl will feature classic, GameCube-style combat -- not Wii-style motion-controlled combat. That means players who prefer to play the game with the traditional control setup can look forward to using the GameCube control-style they're already accustomed to.
"We found that trying to implement too much motion-sensory functionality can get in the way of the game. We're looking at keeping the control simple, as it has been," said Sakurai. "The Wii hardware has sockets for the GameCube controller, too. So I'll just say now that you may not want to throw away your GCN controller yet.""
MMMMOOOOOTTTIIOOOON Controlls!!! Last time I checked the Wiimote+ Num C has enuff buttons to act as a reg controler.
God. . . I have not the slightest idea as to why people assume it will be GC controls only. Seems most logical to assume its going to use Wiimote+ Num C/ CC/ GC controls seeing as it can be done with all of them.
false.i say we are going to be able to choose from
Wii remote and nunchuck
CC controller
or Gamecube controller
you sir, win.It should just be between the Gamecube controllerot that classic controller, as for that icon I believe he may of put it there because it's a Wii title of course
