I just thought of something.

What if this is all just a cruel joke by nintendo due to it being halloween? They figure if you d/c for any reason then you'll be banned until midnight tonight, BUT it'll loook like right now that you're banned for a couple hundred years.

maybe not, but if it is intended as a harsh joke I'ma betting the guy's who put it in are laughing their asses off.

As far as I know it still seems to only effect players who quit midmatch for whatever reason, so that might be a motive for why they did it, again to scare/play a mean joke on those who have quit midmatch today.


Again just saying... Even nintendo has a bit of dark humor sometimes.

The 2DS runs on a slightly different OS, and might trip some crazy thing that bans you fora life and a half.

2ds and 3ds run on the same specifications with the same operating system, so a sever really couldn't tell the difference between the 2, anyway.

It may just be a permanent ban, except they just put in a high time instead of coding for something different.
