Banjo-Kazooie: Dynamic Jiggy Duo - Project Dream

What's everyone saying for possible BK tag lines? I'm thinking something like Banjo-Kazooie gets jiggy with it xD

The original quality image was a big massive, so making it a bit small would ruin it's resolution.

Oh, and another thing came to my mind. It would be a nice touch (and look less sterile / more Smash-like) if Banjo had a soft shadow behind him (like in the "Smashified"-inspired picture). I don't know if you know how to do this, but I'll just write it down for you, just in case: Copy his picture, add an effect for making it black, but it one level behind him & stretch it in a way that it doesn't look too long (actually, the picture is a great example). Then add several soft-focus effects to make it look smoother & reduce the transparency so that it looks more subtle and not pitch-black.

wow I hope now GameXplain makes a video about this. Seriously, it's been this many days, and Spencer's tweet has over three thousand retweets and favourites, but still nothing from them? They have been making videos on Playtonic games' tweets, pictures and videos, so hopefully this will make it more apparent to them.

I really don’t like going into the threads of other characters to attack them for no reason – I have a reason for coming to this one specifically, though. Please don’t treat this post as hostile, as you could potentially convince me to vote for Banjo. I’m a fan of Banjo and actually prefer the Banjo games to the Donkey Kong games, I just prefer K. Rool as a character.

I am also a huge K. Rool fan, and if Banjo doesn't win, I certainly hope that K. Rool has a crack at taking their place. That said, I think Banjo for Smash could be a great opportunity.

The fact that Microsoft gave them and open offer? Besides, Nintendo brought this on themselves when they said that any character is eligible. I took this to mean that, if the fanbase at large wanted, let's say, Kratos, God of War in Smash, Nintendo would try to make it happen. Besides, Nintendo listens to their fans. Why would Lucas return if they didn't care that many people still liked him in Smash, even given his clon-y status. Besides, based on Phil Spencers statement, it doesn't sound as though he has bad blood going through this offer. Why would he say that it would be no problem working with Nintendo if he really planned to screw them over? Besides, legal issues will always be a thing. How did they navigate a game with Sonic, Megaman, and Pac-Man all in the same game? If they see that fans are adamant about Banjo for Smash, I could easily see them trying to make it work. And if not DLC for this game, this shows them that the characters are still in the hearts of many fans, making it possible to see them at a later date. I think that not only would Banjo & Kazooie be a big nostalgia kick, but it would also improve relations between two of the big three gaming companies out on the market right now.

Well, Kratos in Smash is not the best example, they would NEVER put him in there, even if many fans requested him. He wouldn't fit on so many levels. Banjo & Kazooie on the other hand are clearly associated with Nintendo and would fit perfectly amongst the other fighters (they were even already considered to get there by the team). This covers their design, their moves & the overall popularity. Everything else you said is absolutely right. We could really expect something more if this works out. At least VC re-releases, but that has been said many times already.

When I assumed it wasn't a possibilty, I was fine. But now if this doesn't happen it's going to stigmatize the whole game, and probably the Smash series for the rest of my life.

Amazing, now this image should definitely be shared. But it's no biggie since PlayTonic had cropped only the head for their banner.

I mean, even RARE knew that Microsoft was ruining Banjo Kazooie when Nuts and Bolts was being developed, since they had a character called Lord of Games randomly come in and completely change the focus, which is likely a reflection of what happened with Microsoft's executives behind the scenes.

Exactly. When you see how great the Smash team treated Pacman & especially Mega Man, you know how perfectly they would design Banjo.

I guess many of you know this, but this is perhaps the most interesting statement of a co-worker of Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts (Grant Kirkhope, the composer) about the development process. This also spawned several news articles when he expressed his wish for a proper Banjo-Threeie on a Nintendo platform. But listen for yourself!

Look up his Soul Calibur Broken Destiny appearance. The character keeps his rather violent personality but swaps his ultra-violent moves for gimmicky things like retractable chained swords and olympian wings. I think, if taken that way, Cratos could be a contender, though I agree that he'd take some major tweaking before he was Nintendo appropriate.
Still less gory than Super Meat Boy.

Actually, it's not that hard. Go and look for HD versions of the items in the box and do a mockup! It might fit even better when you have cleaner look for something like this.
