You can make gift up to 20 seconds long with the gif maker I use.

the length doesn't matter,. you could export to any fps rate that you want in gimp (and I think ps too).

What matters is the numbers of frames, for 1005 frames, being half a meg is like REALLY compressed. I used a video to gif for my TTYD animations and I can tell you that without compression, you could easily get over a meg.

This one also doesn't feature transparency, reducing filesize, but imo looks ugly especially in forums like this one with a dark bg.
