I don't know if this was posted yet, but it seems the information about Dedede being booted out of Melee because of Sakurai's fear of overreping his series is actually very unreliable information with no good source and most likely false.
might want to edit #6 counterargument in the OP.

If you mean Dedede in the first Smash, Sakurai himself confirmed that. It's documented here;

Since Smash 64 had limited resources, there are characters that were planned, but did not made it into the final game. Bowser, Mewtwo and Dedede were confirmed by Sakurai himself when conducting a hypothetical, “If there was a Smash 2” poll (Japanese Source Here). There likely are additional characters planned but, as far as I know, no hard evidence for any other characters exist. Sakurai confirmed that Bowser and Dedede were being worked on for about half of the development of Smash 64 in a Smash 2 response.

tbh, we should stop waiting on smashified and start actually doing stuff, what will it accomplish anyway? the supporters already voted, and the deetractors will still dislike him, I actually never cared about smashified until people kept posting about it here, and some is just spam, like go go go smashified wont make bdee's pop grow, so... step 1 get his name known on websites for smash and kirby, heck even make a fanfic or comic, this might seem rude but, bdee might not come soon, who's to say we've been wasting time? we could do drawings, (im a good drawer but not on applications) or we could tell people about it in kirby or smash related media, if we do the horrific idea of posting on stuff like ki it will piss of the ki fans, the community is like a thread, if someone talked about a ki newcomer id be pissed too, discuss, also I have a feeling that most people want him smashified for the art only.

Mid-August is my guess. Sakurai has done his last DLC announcements in early April and mid-June.

Bandana Dee looks around Nutty Noon, only to see Roy running from the left and Ryu running from the right.
Bandana Dee quickly jabbed at the Tireless Wanderer, and then at the Young Lion before he could counter.
" PK THUNDER!" shouted Lucas from above,as he flung himself downward to the Megaton warrior.
The orange warrior jumped into the air,and performed the spearcopter, after swinging his spear for awhile, the Boy from Nowhere was sent flying.
Later,Bandana Dee is at the Boxing Ring stage,using his neutral attack on Mewtwo and Peach, which is similar to Kirby's, when he was done,he sent the Legendary Pokemon and the Princess of the Mushroom Kingdom into the air, defeating them. Dedede uses his up taunt, congratulating his servant, then left with Bandana Dee following him.
On the stage, Mushroom Kingdom U, Kirby was fighting Zero Suit Samus, the beautiful warrior used her whip to catch the Pink Puffball. She then used her down throw on him, and before she could start her "original" combo, she was hit by a spear. Kirby looked to see it was his good friends, Dedede and Bandana Dee. The trio all taunted and ran to find Meta Knight.
The orange servant spiked the King of the Jungle on Gaur Plain as the ape tried to recover, then ducked under Ike's Quick Draw on Coliseum, and swung his spear as his back air. Bandana Waddle Dee threw a spear at Villager on Onett, only for him to pocket it. Before the mayor of Smashville could use it, Bandana Dee threw another spear at him.
High in the sky,on the Halberd, Meta Knight was fighting Shulk,Toon Link,Dark Pit, and Dr.Mario, and was winning, as he was too fast for them. Then,Shulk used his Monado Arts, and used the art: speed to grab Meta Knight. The Monado Boy threw Meta Knight to the three clones,so they could combo him to death.
Kirby,Dedede, and Bandana Dee,who were riding Warp Stars,crashed into them before anything could happen.
Shulk,Toon Link,Dr.Mario,and Dark Pit were shocked to see that Meta Knight wasn't alone.
The Dreamland heroes,Shulk,Dr.Mario,Toon Link,and Dark Pit all taunted, and ran toward each other.
On the Wrecking Crew stage, Bandana Dee was about to show his final smash. The spear master punched the ground, causing Fox, Olimar, Duck Hunt, and Wii Fit Trainer to fly in different directions. Bandana Dee swung his spear in victory.
( Returning back to the CGI cutscene)
Ganondorf finally landed back on Nutty Moon,causing a huge crater in the ground, rubbing his head wondering how he could lose to some...puffball. He grabbed his sword,and walked into a portal of dark magic.

Smashified is very useful for popularity, a lot of people watch and follow them, and the art is awesome.
We are not Smashified and Bandana Dee's popularity is higher thanks to all the comments in the videos saying "we want Bandana Dee!".
And about the "we are wasting time", I don't know about you, but I still post in Miiverse, Twitter and Youtube regularly.
You should do the same, I don't know why you guys have to wait for me to say "Hey guys! Make propaganda!".
I mean, it's not really hard, you just go to Youtube videos related to Kirby or Smash and post "vote for Bandana Dee", or just write the same thing in the Smash community in Miiverse.

On the bright side of things, I don't think they can rehash everything from E3 since most of it was stuff we already knew. The only new games I can remember are the Hyrule Warriors port, Paper Jam, and Triforce Heroes.

Obviously, but Nintendo knows money when they see it (i.e. amiibo in general), and I think Kirby amiibo would sell pretty damn well if they do something with them. People are addicted to this ****. It's like crack, just slightly less extreme and probably more dangerous. People will buy Kirby amiibo just to say they have Kirby amiibo.
