Anyone want to list their favorite Secondary Characters of the Kirby Series?

Here's a list of them in case you wanted to know! :
(Note: I'm including the Secondary Characters that appear in more than one Kirby game, but popular one-time characters make an exception). ;)

-Adeleine
-Bonkers
-Bronto Burt

-Bugzzy
-Chef Kawasaki
-Coo

-Dark Matter
-Dark Meta Knight
-Daroach
-Drawcia

-Dyna Blade
-Gooey

-Keeby :)
-Kine

-Knuckle Joe
-Lololo & Lalala

-Magolor
-Nightmare
-Poppy Bros. (Jr., Sr.)

-Prince Fluff
-Shadow Kirby
-Rick
-Waddle Doo

A little over 20 characters to choose from! You can list a character that I may have forgotten (I spent a lot of time on research, though) but feel free to! (I'll add that character to the list if he/she/it has a big enough impact).

If you were wondering, { http://kirby.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Main_Characters } counts Kracko, Bonkers, Waddle Doo, and Whispy Woods as main characters. But I listed Bonkers (Mini-Boss), and Waddle Doo (Noticeable Enemy), as secondaries due to their roles, and not game appearance count).

(Also, the main, MAIN characters consist of Kirby, King DeDeDe, Meta Knight, And the upcoming Bandana (Waddle) Dee, so that's why you see some characters listed above that are pretty popular, but aren't in the main four)! Enjoy! :kirby:
Kawasaki - Not only has the best Copy Ability, but he was one of the more memorable side characters in Kirby of the Stars Right Back at Ya!

Poppy Bros - Because Game Grumps. :p

Magolor - Best Kirby antagonist from the best 3D multiplayer Kirby game hands down.

Dark Matter/Zero - Darkest and more threatening Kirby villains that were ever in the franchise and are doomed to fade into obscurity because of HAL's bias against the DMT.

Adeliene - Sad how the only human in the games gets the shaft despite being lovable and unique.

Well, I was in Miiverse (yes, Miiverse) and I discovered that is Kirby Triple Deluxe anniversary!!
It was yesterday actually but Who cares?
Straight from Satoshi Isida's post:

Hi, Satoshi Ishida from HAL Laboratory here. I have a special message from the game's director, Shinya Kumazaki. "Hello, everyone. Today, May 2nd, is the first anniversary of Kirby: Triple Deluxe's release in the Americas! It's been out around the world for a year and two of its sub-games have been expanded into separate downloadable games. By the way, have you ever wondered how we came up with the game title? Well, we started with a variety of ideas. One was a title that would reflect the game's theme of an adventure through floating islands. Another idea was to use the letter "X", since this is the tenth traditional Kirby platformer. We also wanted to find a title that reflects the game's full use of Nintendo 3DS features, such as the 3D function, motion sensors and StreetPass. Something short and catchy that we could use all around the world. That's how we came up with the title "3DX" - in other words, "Triple Deluxe"! It felt like a good match for the Hypernova Inhale ability, a truly "deluxe" feature designed to make the basic Inhale ability more satisfying and dynamic than ever. It also fitted well with the fact that King Dedede (3 "De"s) plays an important role in the story for the first time in quite a while! As the first Kirby game on Nintendo 3DS, our aim was to make a title that would entertain all sorts of players, full of experiences you couldn't get on any other system, with satisfying pick-up-and-play action, puzzle solving, fierce battles, and a story with a little depth to it. So why not celebrate this one-year anniversary by going back and visiting Kirby: Triple Deluxe again? If you haven't already done so, you can even try to clear it 100%! Happy birthday, Kirby: Triple Deluxe!" Wow, a whole year since Kirby: Triple Deluxe came out. It would make me happy to see people going back to it, too! If you haven't played it yet, why not give it a go? Or you could try out Kirby Fighters Deluxe or Dedede's Drum Dash Deluxe first!

There's also this drawing

As you can see Bandana Dee is there!!!
Along with a hidden Magolor and Dark Meta Knight
Again, I'm waiting for a full game about the dark doppelgangers :)
HAHAHAHAHA!! Bandana Dee is in that post! PROOF TO PEOPLE THAT HE IS A RELEVANT CHARACTER!!!! Ahem... It's good to see that Mr. Shinya Kumazaki knows of BD's importance. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going back to spamming the Fighter Ballot with Bandana Dee votes.

That's an awesome drawing.

Sectonia and Taranza are happy, dawww XD
But wait there's more!!!

Drawcia?
Marx?
Dark Matter?
Retro Kirby?
There's even Elline!! :awesome:
And Bandana Dee with his Spear :smash:

Merry Christmas in May!! :bluejump:
Taranza looks way too happy with that hat :)

And to clarify Magolor's existance:

This time, director Kumazaki will talk about the Secret Bonus Level in Dedede's Drum Dash Deluxe. "Hello. Today, I would like to talk about the music and a special guest character in the Secret Bonus Level of Dedede's Drum Dash Deluxe. "The REAL final level is the Secret Bonus Level, and it is unlocked after getting Gold medals for all levels. It's the hardest stage of them all! It is fast-paced, long, and filled with many traps; I hope you'll try your best to reach the goal far off into the distance. "The Secret Bonus Level features a song called C-R-O-W-N-E-D (Reprise), an arranged version of the song C-R-O-W-N-E-D from the Normal Bonus Level. This song also plays during the final battle of Kirby's Return to Dream Land and is packed with phrases from a variety of songs. "When we gave this song a title, we wanted to state what it represented, so we took the first letter from all the level names and connected them together for the song title, C-R-O-W-N-E-D. In connection with this song, we've included a guest character named Magolor as a stage obstacle. "Since Kirby's Return to Dream Land, Magolor has gained a talent for constructing theme parks and attractions. The motif of Dedede's Drum Dash Deluxe is also a theme park, so this was actually a project Magolor worked on! It makes sense to feature him as a guest character. "Magolor's whereabouts are uncertain after Kirby's Return to Dream Land, but he seems pretty lively here. After roaming around the dimension beyond space and time, he might've found an exit. When Kirby and his friends returned home, maybe Magolor traveled around building theme parks in different worlds. "I hope you'll look for Magolor as he interferes with your level with a malicious grin on his face!"

20 anniversary confirmed canon :dr-_-:

They are a crossover from another HAL game series called Adventure of Lolo.
Lala gets kidnapped and Lolo must solve the puzzles in a tower, pushing blocks, to reach the top of it and save Lala.
I don't know why they are called differently (Lololo instead of Lolo, Lalala instead of Lala), but they are the same characters in Kirby, in Mass Attack there's a minigame showing Lololo and Lalala in an Adventure of Lolo themed level.

Just realized I haven't posted any support for Bandanna Dee yet, shame on me! Quite odd since I'm a pretty big Kirby fan (which totally isn't obvious by the name and avatar) and I somehow managed to avoid this thread for way too long. Hope he gets in eventually!

Favorite bosses Hmm... this is hard....

Probably King Dedede, Metaknight, Galacta Knight, Marx, Magolor, Drawcia, Queen Sectonia, Dark Mind, Dark Swordsman and Nightmare. They were all my most favorite bosses to fight and all had decent variety of attacks.

favorite side characters? Bandana Waddle Dee, Taranza, and Magolor since I guess they're the most permanent additions. They also seem to really have more fleshed out personas. Taranza being a misguided and very determined devotee who unfortunately has to learn the hard way. Bandana Dee a loyal and very brave waddle dee (unafraid to stall someone as powerful as Kirby by attempting to "fight" him just so Dedede could prepare himself, and incredibly brave when he whacked that hand from attacking Kirby in rainbow curse with no hesitation). Than there's Magolor's characterization where he's incredibly two-faced and fake nice on every level. Telling Kirby that he's reformed and making theme parks because he's so "sorry" but yeah they're dangerous and "I'm sure YOU can handle them". He's subdued and moved on in regards to his evil goals but he's still ever devious and his words really have to be taken with a grain of salt...

I really like these recent characters cause they're really multi-dimensional as of recent. Fleshed out with wonderful small details and some dialogue. Yet not TOO much that Kirby loses it's simple charm with heavy story telling. It's not forced but just subtle...

ALSO all that commentary from Shinya is AWESOME. I like him a lot. Satoshi's art is great.

Magolor confirmed.

Those drawings are really cool, I love them.
Now I'm sad, Kirby's representation in Smash is just terrible without the "new" games.

Talking about favorite Kirby characters and bosses now, are we? Man, I love this thread. I've never been around so many fans of my favorite videogame series. Allow me to join.

My top three favorite bosses.
3. The Claykken. Odd choice, I know. I just love this thing. I mean, it's a giant clay squid that smokes a bubble pipe underwater... It's too awesome.
2. Kracko. He'd be my favorite of all Kirby's recurring bosses. I love his design, I love fighting him, I get all excited every time I see him return, Kracko is just...cool. I've liked this boss since I was a kid.
1. Drawcia. I always found her to be very interesting. I like her theme a lot as well. Drawcia always seems to make me sad when hearing her theme or fighting her, not sure why.

My top three favorite Kirby side characters.
3. Ribbon. I always liked Ribbon for some reason. I'd love to see her return in a future Kirby game.
2. Elline. She's adorable.
1. Bandana Waddle Dee. I like how he's become an important character in the series. I also like how simple his design is. It's cool, but also cute.

Man, not that I don't like the title of "Triple Deluxe" but "Kirby X" would've sound much better. That way the mainstream hardcore gaming community would've taken it more seriously :)

Kirby X sounds more like a 90s advertising thing more than anything... or a Japanese spin off anime title... Kirby GT, Kirby Z, Kirby X

I sent in another Twitter message to Artsy Omni about Bandana Dee. There are way more requested characters though, so it probably won't be for awhile.

How? Why? We were talking about bosses for some time, and there was one I feel was greatly ignored.
I can look past
not being mentioned, and the little attention given to

But how can we all ignore.

Just kidding everyone,.

Your right. We can't ignore him because he's in (almost) every game... Doesn't mean he is strong though. Even in Dreamland 64.
Wispy did put up a good challenge in mass attack.

OK, I need to get something off my chest. For a while, many people have said that Bandana Dee shouldn't get in. We have all the answers to their arguments, but it's like people don't want to listen to valid sentences. The kicker is, it seems that Kirby doesn't get the attention his series deserves. I've been a fan for quite a while. I am DYING for Bandana Dee to get in. I just don't think Sakurai looks at Kirby in a kind way anymore. I mean, the lack of representation for new games? Biased to Super Star? I don't know. I hope I don't sound dogmatic, because don't plan to. It's just what I see. So question: Do any of you think that Sakurai will put in at least on more Kirby character, whether it be Bandana Dee or someone else? Honest answers, plz.

The elegant battlefield.
I also remember some time ago we talked about a Kirby Timeline. This got me thinking about Kirby Super Star (Ultra). This game seems to represent the average itinerary for Kirby. So, I made a little "planner," and want to explain it from Kirby's point of view.
KirbysPlanner.png

:4kirby:Entering Kirby Point of View:4kirby:
Sunday: Sunday is supposed to be a relaxing, do nothing day, like a spring breeze. I however, find no such luxury on my Sunday's. Usually, Dedede does something I completely disagree with. I don't think either of us try too, but it always ends in a scuffle.
Monday: Monday I typically find myself on little side adventures. Sometimes, I might think I've made an enemy, but it's really a new friend, like with Dynablade, a giant bird I befriended some time ago.
Tuesday: Tuesday is usually my "me day," a day to be on my own, maybe with one friend, depends on my mood. Sometimes I nap, eat, or go treasure hunting.
Wednesday: Dedede usually challenges me to some game, usually what we call a Gourmet Race. Bandana Waddle Dee usually referee's the match. A lot of the time, Dedede let's me win!
Thursday: It's usually at this point in the week I find out what Meta Knight is up to. He always likes to remain elusive. Usually it's nothing bad, but he can get quite aggressive!
Friday: Friday is commonly known as "pseudo doomsday" in Dreamland. This is because some big baddie always likes to cause trouble near the end of the week, whether it's Marx, Nightmare, Zero, or Dark Matter, I usually put an end to it.
Saturday: Dedede once again challenges me to a sparring match. Unlike on Sunday's, Bandana Waddle Dee typically joins in on the match as well. It's okay though, I know Dedede, Bandana Dee, and I are just training! :)
*End Kirby point of view*

Hmm, this doesn't have much to do with Bandana Dee, but I feel it fits the Kirby Timeline in a way. And yes, the Kirby in the planner does have some Brawl In the Family Kirby sprinkled into his character.:)

I don't know if it matters if Sakurai is biased or not as much as people think it's the case. It's actually irrelevant. We've reached a point where the game is out already and what will determine characters is demand. Because now new characters are DLC and DLC = more $$ in Nintendo's pockets. It's perhaps going to be more than just Sakurai calling the shots as to who makes it in as DLC. Characters that look compelling to buy and worth the money to play are what is going to also be considered. We just have to keep advertising BDee like we're his PR team. Selling him to the public. What does he bring to the table as a fighter, what is unique about him, how relevant is he? Someone people will recognize and/or desire to play with. You've all been hired to the marketing department.
