Perhaps don't use wording like "when you've all calmed down" and "this has gone sideways", in the future? It came off sounding like you were angry.
Seriously, though, I really only pointed out why they very well might not use other unrelated unknown characters as alts, because it's something they've never done.

I do wonder what we'd get, though. In the case of Dedede's alts, for example, most of them are drawn from other games in the series.
Bandana Waddle Dee doesn't yet have much in the way of that - the only thing that I can think of off of the top of my head would be the two copies of him that Elline made in Kirby and the Rainbow Curse.
The colours from these two clones don't seem like bad choices.
EDIT: I missed your edit when I originally loaded the page;
And I only pointed out that they're not Bandana Waddle Dee, and there's little reason for anyone to claim that they are, so that didn't seem quite so possible to me.
Please don't try to turn it around onto me. I only made idle, casual conversation regarding trivia about an entertainment product.
I would imagine that that's the case as well.

i wasnt turning it around i was telling you how you were coming across
You know what I’m sorry I didn’t mean to come across as aggressive and in sure you didn’t either you I understand you reasons for thinking it’s a bad idea for him to have to outfits of other characters
So for what’s it’s worth I’m sorry I think there was a fair amount of misinterpretation of my part
I just want you to know that I saw the original, one-line version of this post that was just this, and I want to say that I really appreciate the edit, as quoted below.

I do believe that there was a fair amount of misinterpretation on your part, because I didn't word anything in an aggressive fashion, as you suggest here.
But anyway, don't worry about it. Thankyou for understanding the reasoning behind what I said.
Sorry I took so long to respond. Basically, almost EVERY move of his has been buffed across the board following his initial addition to the game, allowing him to KO MUCH earlier than he was originally able to..

Kirby: Star Allies' release-date has now been confirmed as March 16th. This is before Kirby's 25th Anniversary ends on April 27th, making it a 25th Anniversary title as initially expected.
A couple of new Copy Abilities have been debuted, but we've still got no word on whether or not Bandana Waddle Dee will appear in the game.
I'm still hoping to see him get a role as a boss, presumably defending his king, personally, since all of the footage shown so far suggests that the boss role is the case for everyone else that Kirby knows.
Here's hoping that he gets some role in the game...
Anyway, because no one mentioned it...
In addition to the CD of the 25th anniversary's orchestra recording, There's a separate CD of bonus tracts. You can check them out here.
Why am I mentioning it here? Song #7, "Song of apple juice", is a vocal arrangement for Bandanna Dee, set to the tune of Apple Scramble. Go listen to it. It's cute.

Finally! A release date! And so close to us, too! Loving that Artist and Spider ability! Hoping we'll get more new Copy Abilities down the line!
I actually hope he's a boss myself. But I do wonder how his battle would play out. Like, would it be him commanding an entire army, or just utilizing his sick spear-wielding skills to combat you?
You know, I've been wondering...with Artist being a thing, what does this mean for Paint? I mean, I know there's Suplex/Backdrop/Throw, but did Paint BECOME Artist or are they still considered separate entities?

I'd imagine that it'd be the latter, since he's been shown to be a pretty capable guy. Though, him being able to call in backup from the rest of the royal guard would be pretty cool for a second-phase move.

They don't appear to have shown any overlap in what these two abilities do, so I don't see any reason to believe that Paint has "become" Artist, myself.
We've also seen that this ability can summon a painting of Dedede, too, so we know that it covers both the king and his bodyguard, now. I wonder who else is featured?
At least now Bandana Dee has a confirmed appearance in the game.
I wonder how well this game will sell, Kirby consistently reach 1 million, but I wonder if this game can do better.
It's interesting that another Nintendo 2D game releases not long after, DKC. I wonder how well Kirby will do compared to the Kong. And also later this year is Yoshi. How well will Yoshi Do I wonder.
Also interesting to note that they're the three franchises that got retro stages in Melee.
Triple Deluxe sold around 2 million, and Robobot sold roughly 1.20 million. Based on those numbers, I'd say this game will sell around 1.0-2.5 million copies. Could be better or worse, but this feels like a good guess.

I get this odd feeling B.D. is the last Pop Star boss. I mean, why haven't we seen him give food to Kirby from the background yet? Though, this could be wishful thinking on my part... Also, if my prediction DOES come true...PLEASE HAL, make him THE hardest boss in the game (outside of the final boss, of course)!
Thought, what if Bandana Dee goes the Pit route and has his default weapon expanded for Smash. Namely a Parasol that has a sharp tip and can extend so he can have both Parasol and Spear moves to play around with
To re-quote something I recently said in regards to B.D.'s role in Star Allies:

This little guy DOES deserve a spot! After all, we got Kirby, King Dedede, and Meta Knight. Now this guy needs to be added so we finally have the team in the game!
I've been on a Kirby mood recently, which certainly fueled my desire to see Bandana Dee in Smash.
I support, and I've actually made a moveset for him (It's only about 50% done so I'll share it once I'm done), which is partially inspired by SSF2 in concept.
