So...I got curious about Magolor's death screams (Used AND Unused) in RtD, and just watched this...

Mind you, this was USED (for Magolor Soul, specifically).

And I just have to ask...for the love of GOD, somebody please...PLEASE tell me I'm not losing my mind and hearing Magolor Soul scream "KIRBYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" in terror over and over and over.

I think it absolutely bolsters the chances of ballot picks, i.e. us, exponentially; after all, December 2015 would have been right after the end of the Smash Ballot in October of that same year, so it's doubtful that the Ballot was really meant for Smash 4 in the first place. It's also unlikely that this Smash will feature a lot of "new faces" since any characters who debuted on the Switch (like Rex and Spring Man) were likely way too recent to even be up for consideration at the time, so I think that gives an edge to more established characters like us. Basically, our chances are looking pretty fantastic, all things considered.

Not really, the only thing he had that came after that would be planet robobot and he obviously didn't play a major role. Rainbow Paintbrush came out that same year so I think it may boost his chances a lil.

Been a fan of Bandana Dee for years, but my main focus of support has always been Ridley. With him confirmed, the only two other characters I have as must-haves are K. Rool and Bandana Dee, so here’s hoping for the little guy!

Exactly this. Furthermore I suspect if we get DLC, it will be for these newer characters that debuted on the Switch, which means that older fan-favorites are more likely to be on disk.

I wanna say Waddle Dee or Ashley excluding clones. Id think they wanna save big stuff like K.Rool/Geno or characters like for just before the game launches.

The time at which the roster was finalized does feel a little discouraging for me to be honest. After all, Battle Royale really solidified him as one of Kirby's best friends, and provided a canon instance where he uses a parasol, and Star Allies finally gave him another playable role. Sure, there was his starring role in Rainbow Curse, but I have a feeling that that game could've easily gone under Sakurai's radar... (Sigh, why couldn't you have given him a bigger role in Triple Deluxe and Robobot HAL?) Ah well, still doesn't change the fact that he's one of the likelier characters to be included, or at least I hope so. I certainly hope he did well on the ballot... The Kirby Krew needs its fourth member!

As Bandanna Dee is amongst my top 5 most wanted characters for Super Smash Bros Ultimate, I figured I'd quickly come here and comment just to show my support. Bandanna Dee is a popular and well deserving addition to SSB with unique potential not just limited to his originality as a spear wielding character inclusion (my favourite idea so far is keeping his spear techniques limited to all his A moves, opening up differing possibilities for his specials).

I feel he has some incredibly high chances to get in, even with a limited newcomer pool, and will be more surprised if he doesn't find his way onto the roster. That said, I'm surprised he isn't getting higher votes in the current Newcomer Speculation; I mean their high, but their seems to be a lot of doubts over there.

Oh... that high? Huh, didn't seem it, but that's nice to know.

My own vote was a tad higher for chances. I think if I were to count the other potential newcomers I feel are as likely or more likely than him, I'd only need my two hands for it. Maybe I'm being overwhelmingly optimistic, I feel he does have some strong competition in a small newcomer pool, but not a great many.

Again, real nice to know that expectations and support for our little bandanna clad hero is strong.

Can someone run a fact check on this? https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/234547-super-smash-bros-ultimate/76514442 Memoryman3 apparently did a Datamine on Wooly World 3ds and found that 2 characters with only 1 amiibo (currently) have multiple amiibo that can be used in the game. One was Daisy (Because why would he bring it up) And the other was Waddle Dee. It doesn't mean He is getting into Smash, but it probably does mean they planned for him to have a second amiibo in the future, and with Star Allies out, Smash is the only thing i could see.

It was an easy thing for most to ignore at the time because lolMemoryman and lolDaisyInSmash, but considering Daisy's actually in Smash now and it's been proven at least half-legitimate, it's potentially extremely telling for Bandana Dee's chances if someone else can back up the claims.

Honestly ever since the Start of the post smash 4 rtc, the percents are lower than they should be, like no one has a high chance.

I mean I cant count how many times Ive read the "Kirby does not need another rep" and "We dont need any more Kirby content" from not just here but other forums. alot of this is coming from people who don't play or like Kirby games or just simply just think Kirby is for kids. The weirded thing is that despite all this, B.Dee (atm) has the 4th highest ranked chance on the rtc. If Kirby isn't getting a rep, and B.Dee is the 4th likely character, even more than Ridley was....

The Wooly World thing is a glitch, Every character was supposed to be set to aceept multiple amiibo, but a glitch cause it to only be 1 amiibo for Daisy, Waluigi, and Boo, and then Daisy got patched in to use multiple amiibo. But Daisy is getting a Smash amiibo.

There definitely seems to be more modern stuff this time around. Sakurai is absolutely aware that people think he has something against modern Kirby content and so far seems to be going out of his way to avoid it this time

Masked Dedede is now Dededes final smash
Meta Knight has a more detailed Galacta Knight alt

And according to Smash Wiki
"Some of Kirby's animations, particularly his dash and initial jump, have been changed to closer resemble games from Kirby's Return to Dream Land onward."

And of course, Ultra Sword returns

This sounds very promising. Can't wait to see more from the franchise. Which hopefully includes Bandana Dee and a modern stage.

So, weird thing...last night I had a dream about a new Kirby game. Heh, get it? A DREAM about Kirby? Eh? O...kay...

Anyways, this dream gets a little...odd, even by Kirby standards, so please bear with me.

So, in my dream, I guess the new adventure's plot involved some intergalactic royalty visiting Pop Star for a family vacation, and one of the attendants(?) appeared to have plans to overthrow said royal family. From there, the attendant uses some magic or something to get B.D. and Kirby to switch bodies (I guess this guy's heard of Kirby beforehand, and was afraid he could interfere? I don't know.). Basically, I think the focus of the game was to control Kirby in B.D.'s body and vice versa. Again, it was a dream, I'm a bit fuzzy on the details now.

Bandanna Dee is basically one of the 4 main Kirby characters now - along with Meta Knight, King Dedede, and Kirby himself. That, combined with his unique weapon and popularity. I think his chances of getting in are pretty good.
Plus, they can probably use Kirby as a base to design him (right?) - they're like same shape, same size. Maybe that'll help too?

Here's hoping anyway.

To be fair we have characters who exclusively use their swords yet they can be unique from the other sword fighters.

Literally anything Sakurai thinks because he made the character and the franchise... yeah.

That's like me saying, what can Ridley do that Charizard can't?
Because I just saw Ridley's entire moveset in a video and Charizard could do literally all his attacks except for maybe the tail stab.
That doesn't make Ridley boring, right?
