avoiding the falco/fox's dsmash

Using pika a bit yesterday, and i was wondering if it's possible to sweetspot the ledge with the upb without getting hit by falco's dsmash. i tried getting to the ledge each time but the dsmash f'ed me up. it's possible to get it right? Am i just too slow?

it shouldn't be possible if they time it right, and that's not to easy. hey then time you play pause it on pika's or pichu's up B and they will be smaller than a laser or they will be a left handed superman (pichu has the cape XD) but it can't hurt to try and tech , it can only help

unless your far out enough where you only have one path that will make it back, try switching it up, like diagonally up and out then straight in, or straight out and diagonally up and in, just mix it up, I usually get back just fine on the 2nd or 3rd attempt.

Switching up how I get back usually throws them off and makes them release the smash early.

as pichu i suck at recovering because it's so D*** predictable, i always go up then left or right, but i can do some fancy things on the stae with up B, any advice because this thread will die soon

i like having the most bad*** pichu sig

for most sweetspots on upB, make sure the first part goes above and away from the stage so the second can be down and towards the edge. Pika will 'stick' to the edge without having the annoying pancake hitbox. Should work.

if it's on a stage besides fd, you can try recovering for a platform

i've started doing it and i see chu dat do it all the time
