It's so weird that it's always the disabled that turn out to be geniuses for some reason. I mean Beethoven was deaf, yet he played beautifully. And for some reason the geniuses always end up dying young...

They need a reason to feel superior i suppose. They want to fit in.

Stupid Spartans killing the disabled... we could have flying cars... possibly

I don't think it is this at all, and you are close minded for saying such things. If you took the time to watch the entire video you would see that her intelligence was not affected by the autism, and that she was just as smart as anyone else if not smarter. Also, notice how she says her brain takes 1000 pictures of a person when she meets them? To me that sounds as if she has photographic memory, and if not more advanced. It actually seems as if it is more advanced seeing as how she said it literally hurts to look at a person.

Yes it is in fact a Tshirt. And there is nothing violent, disrespectful or wrong with the picture. The double entendre of autistic children being cool (which the article clearly demonstrates) as well as their propensity to oscillate is just a fact.

I will not repent for being right!

Don't repent for being right. Repent for being disrespectful - as much as you will try to tell yourself otherwise, making fun of Autistic people is not cool, even if the text on the image was technically correct.

And don't post in here again unless it's something on topic and respectful. If you have a problem with my moderation, take it to Forum Support.

Facilitated communication isn't anything new. Unfortunately, every time it's been investigated it's been determined to be a hoax. I'd love to believe that this case was the one exception, but I'm very skeptical.
